This is more of a request for a specific set, but I'd also like to start a new thread on here about this :)
Just got my replica set of mirrors today and I wanna see how people are mounting them up. Someone gave me the idea of mounting them on the electric mirror bases, but I don't like the idea, and or think it'll work...
Close up mounted, and decent pics would be highly appreciated. Brownie points to anyone who can show me their "custom made" adapter mounts.:woolery:

Any of you with power mirrors have any advice for the removal of them?
I pulled my door cards and didn't even find the bolts for the oem mirror. Help would be appreciated.

do you have any information as to where i can purchase a set of those and how you made the bases. I either want those mirrors or attempt to fit a set of motorcycle mirrors onto my car as well. it looks great!

The ones I got are seriously 2 1/4" big I cant see shit with them so I put a 2" convex mirror (like the one you have on ur stock mirrors) just over the entire thing and they work wonderful its just hard as hell to spot if a cop is behind you from far away since I cant see that far with them:[

Mirror removal is mostly done from the outside. You'll need to pop off the base of your mirror (I gently used a flathead screwdriver to do this) to expose the hardware holding everything in place. The most you'll see from inside the door is where the screws/bolts thread into place.

The power mirrors should swivel around the base. There is a gap between the upper and lower parts of the mirror. Just rotate the upper half towards the rear of the car and you should see a couple screws.

modded the original screw which allows the mirror to be slid on to the door, then one self tapper.
Better pic.

Runabout M2. They look good...but visibility is pretty bad. I am used to them, but I still always check over the shoulder.

Did you look at post #11 ???
Magical Racing mirrors with Slick Auto bases.

If you don't want to bother on getting the bases from Slick Auto just get the Murakami Motors mirrors. They already come with Miata specific bases. Same mirror much cleaner look IMO.
