I am curious, too. Any suggestions for cleaning and maintenance products?

13928I wash the car like I usually do then use this. This was recommended to me by a convertible top installer and I have not looked back. I also use it in leather and plastics inside the car. Supposedly does everything short of curing cancer :-). I personally like that it keep things clean and not oily like other products.

Like I said, I like the finish, I have been using it for less than a year so I cant tell (yet) if it will extend the life of my top. But I will say that the top looks great. I bought it off from amazon. Im sure other people use other things. Let me know if you find something better. Google this stuff, there are many reviews on it.

Most are the black vinyl top, but some guys have the tan vinyl tops.

It is tan, with some kind black staining in a couple of spots.

Then what I use would be too dangerous to try on that color. You have to be careful what you use on that color and make sure that it has no pigment in it. If it does, it could stain your top.

I used to go to a local car wash and pressure wash the top myself. That got rid of all the embedded junk I didn't feel comfortable using anything abrasive to remove. Afterward, I'd apply 303 protectant on the whole thing including raising the top a bit so I could get the rearmost area that's hard to get to.

I currently am looking for a solution to some mildew I have on my tan top. I haven't tried anything yet, but degreaser(like purple power) and mildew sprays have been suggested. I'm skeptical because of the dyes. Any suggestions?

Vinyl or canvas/cloth top? I use the Autoglym cleaner and protector kit on mine (fabric) and I am completely satisfied.
