Okay so after 6 months on the shelf these babies need to be installed the project needs to move on....after much reading and googling I am still left with what is proper or rather specific for our NA. I am installing a Tein Street Flex + EDFC Active Pro on a 94 with JRSC and RB F/R roll bars.

1. What is the proper way to set preload, off or on the car?
2. Is 4 mm preload enough/too much?

Thanks in advance

Put them on according to the instructions. Set unloaded and off the car to whatever the recommended amount is from Tein. Measure ride height and adjust it to about where Tein recommends. Drive it for a week. Then take it to a shop and get it corner balanced and final ride height set.

And you should compensate for your weight in the car while setting it up. Think about setting it up as driven. If you always have a passenger, have them sit in the car while you adjust it.
