My friend recommended to have the intake and exhaust port matched since the head cylinder is being serviced. Is this really beneficial to a supercharged 94 NA? I read that this is just theoretical and altho' it does help smoothing out the air flow but does not really transpose to useable HP gains. Anyone here have done this or knows about this please chime? Thanks

I think it should be done in conjunction with porting and polishing, shaving, and other head machining work. It depends on your budget, really.

Otherwise, refurbish the head with new guides, seals, then springs and valves checked for spec, etc. is definitely worth the money.

to be honest you'll get more power if you find a way to cool the air before it enters the cylinder head. At the end is all about how much money you plan to put on your build. Check out my build thread. I modified the 01 intake manifold a lot.
