Anyway of editing older posts

Hello Admin,

Any way of editing older posts? On my build thread the photos I copied from facebook no longer work. I had the same happen on 'MX5Nutz' so have loaded the photos to photobucket and edited the posts. On here I cannot edit the posts so a lot of images have vanished. The link to MX5Nutz shows how it should look.

Can I make any adjustments or is it now stuck?

You're not entirely stuck. Since you're a supporting member, as an exception, we can open your ability to edit old posts for this purpose. If you're going to update a lengthy writeup you've created for us, then it's worth it. Obviously, if it's just to fix a typo then probably not.

Try to update your thread now. I'll leave your editing turned on for a short time.

Thanks. That is much appreciated. I have just taken a look but the first page is not showing the edit function. Am I doing something wrong? I mainly want to go into it so I can change the photos to the photo bucket links if that is OK.

Hey James - just one watch out is that for me, I couldn't seem to have pics from Photobucket show up in any posts (just links) so am in the process of transferring to imgur which seems to work better..

Thanks sorry to be a pain. I cannot see it working on the earlier posts. I have tried using google internet and explorer but both wont show a difference. Do I need to try anything else?

You can use Imgur.com to host photos for FREE and you don't even have to register. And unlike photobucket or Flikr there are no limits to photo uploads on imgur.

Then just link the BBCode here and done

We don't mind doing this for longtime members or supporting members but we are not making this a habit either. Too many folks have been known to use that edit feature for ill will in the past both here and other forums.

Thanks guys. I have sorted all the facebook links in my posts to photobucket links so everything seems to be working OK. I appreciate you doing this as with the facebook links breaking down the thread was looking a mess. Touchwood I think I have sorted it all now as checked nearly every image property and it comes back photobucket. I will take the advice of Pete and Randy and use Imgur.com moving forwards too if there is no limits like photobucket, etc.

I went on a picture saving spree on face book and tried editing my build thread but half the time I don't even remember which picture went in which post haha.... I guess maybe it'll be okay to start a new thread summarizing everything?
