Just a little something to add if you get new gauges. You should upgrade to led bulbs to do them justice. The stock bulbs are not up to the task. It will make a hell of a difference. I bought new gauges last year and they have been great!

These badges really transformed Bucky from a regular looking Miata into something a bit more upscale. I enjoy them every time I walk up to the car. I wish I could capture them better with photos.

Anyone who’s looked at more than a handful of posts on this blog knows about my love for Transformers. It’s deep. It’s life-long. I’ll be 90 and still transforming one of these little guys. They were my first choice as a gift bomb. All of the other gifts kinda grew out of the idea of bombing someone with a Transformer bundle.

Comics!!! I love them. I’ve read several thousand over the past couple years since re-discovering them and have enjoyed every minute. I think my gauge art has improved as a direct result.

I just posted this on Clubroadster. Someone asked about how the random gauges were chosen. I thought folks here might also be interested.


It's the gauges sold from the previous day. I do the drawing the next morning. Anyone who ordered that morning won't be in the drawing until the next day. The clock starts at 12am and stops that same time the next day.

I manually make a list of names and gauge style chosen. I multiply that list by 5 to give each person 5 "tickets" to win. This is because random number generators really dislike choosing either the first number or the last number. Multiplying by 5 gives the first and last order the same chance that everyone else has.

Then I get my random number, divide by 5, and that person on the list is the winner.

SO. Tomorrow's free set will be based on the gauges ordered from midnight last night to midnight tonight.

The sale will end Monday night and the last of the free gauges will be chosen Tuesday morning.
