For anyone using the 323, Ford Escort/Tracer, etc. Valve cover... a few questions from a guy who hasn't even pulled the stock Valve Cover yet. I have one sitting here from a scrapyard, and have been looking at various Miata's that have them installed...

1.) The internal metal baffles, does everyone leave them, or remove? These being the aluminum bits held by phillips screws inside the V/C.
2.) Plugging and relocating the vent lines, what's the best course of action: drill & tap, weld a bung, etc?
3.) If relocating said vent lines, would it make sense to route them into the metal baffles like it was configured for the 323, etc?

Pictures, hardware sizes, etc. are all extremely helpful and much appreciated.

My thoughts are to find plugs for the existing vents, one of which comes out by the coil-pack, then drill/tap for 2 new ones on the exhaust/drivers side of the car and run a Chikara type vented catch can.

Thoughts, insight? Thanks in advance,

-Matt
