V8Roadsters latest project is our LFX conversion for the ND MX5.
Mazda has done a excellent job using their Gram Strategy to get the latest generation back down to a very respectable weight for a modern sports car. Starting with this new chassis as a strong foundation we are working towards creating a thoroughbred of a world class sports car.
Using the V6 from the 2012 and later Cheverolet Camaro, we will more than double the factory power rating reliably while keeping weight gain at a minimum. The GM LFX V6 is rated at 323hp and 278lb/ft. It is a rev happy DOHC motor with a flat torque curve and has proven to be a excellent match in the NA and NB chassis.
To tame the power increase we have upgraded the chassis with our Pro Series 12.190" brakes, dropping 9lbs per corner as well as installing our DSD coilovers to keep everything under control.

Keep an eye out for updates as we progress with this new build.

And if you're looking to increase power or upgrade your suspension and brakes check us out at www.V8Roadsters.com

This was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the ND. I mentioned it to Shandell at Laguna Seca and he gave me a grin. Too bad I haven't touched my NA in like 4 months, I'm itching to start something new.

Well, you already have the engine. Any thoughts on shoehorning that into an ND?

Was it that obvious :D The ND is very exciting for everyone and Mazda has built a great new platform.

As much fun as this new concept looks like it will turn out I have one problem. Since Shandelle procured my new 9" rims and Rivals with the my other changes done and my V8R all sorted out again its way to much fun to comtemplating any change to a V6.
