Gen2 revlimiter Badges - Work in Progress

I do a lot of stuff behind the scenes and never post about it. I figure people don't really care about such things and would rather just see pretty pix of the finished products. But this one is kinda big and is taking me a long time. I thought I'd post my progress.

I now own a shiny new vinyl printer and am revamping all of my badges, keychains, horn buttons, and all other logo items. Parts and designs are slowly coming into stock. I'll update this thread as I go and have photos of the new goods.

Version Elanore: The colorful center areas are now foil. It's still Mazda Blue and a darker LE red, but the material is now shiny. The badges pop a lot more and look far more professional.

It's hard to show the foil effect with a still pic. I'm gonna have a lot of gifs in here I think.

Prototipo 1: Very similar to the previous versions. The blue badge is NOT foil, but has a traditional enamel-like finish with a slightly better color match to the vintage Mazda blue color. The red badge uses the same dark red foil as the Elanore badge. Black and yellow are unchanged.

They'd fit any wheel! But you're asking a different question than I'm answering.

I am NOT making plastic wheel center caps that actually go inside the wheel center. I am making INSERTS for an existing set of caps that you've sourced separately. The cap would need a flat recessed area for my insert to live inside.

Prototipo2 Gen 2: This one has the other historically accurate M symbol. When a circle was present with the M, they used a thicker stroke on the M. Mine reflects that. Same colors available as with Pro1 above.

Type V Gen 2: The factory Eunos Flying V nose badge in both the standard dark blue and limited edition black. The V is in gold and chrome foil just as the original. This one is a huge improvement over my Gen1 design.

Model 36 Gen 2: Virtually no changes from the original Gen1 design aside from pearl white instead of flat.

Model 60 Gen 2: Designed by R2Limited. Gen 2 has either deep black or foil blue under a pearl white with a chrome foil 1960s Mazda logo. Another huge improvement in quality over the original.

I have PLANS for it... but... man. It's a huge emblem. I've got one on the shelf. It's enormous. And the recessed area basically limits me to the oval shape of the NC badge.

I probably shouldn't let the cat out of the bag, but NB2-sized emblems at 85mm are next. After that I'll likely do an NC1 badge since, while huge, they're not too enormous. I'll see how those sell before considering the NC3 dinner plate.

No offense meant... but holy crap is the NC3 badge enormous. Epoxy cost alone will make that a very expensive piece.

Adam did a custom set for the center caps on my 949Racing 6ULs. He made my matching nose badge, key fob, horn button, oil cap and sill plate labels.

Yup! Keychains will be updated soon. Horn buttons are next, but I've already done a few keychain inserts.

Gen1 badges will never be produced again. They're discontinued and Gen2 is what's now being shipped.

Nose and tail? 2 custom badge sizes would be roughly $4500 for mold fees. Minimum quantity would more than double that, but that would be something I'd be paying. It would take roughly 3 months to get into my hands as well. So... if you wanna commission two new sizes of badge carrier, let me know. Bring your checkbook.

58mm vs 50mm: The 58 is taller and has a wider bezel. The 50mm is thinner and meant to stay close to the body for fender or hardtop installation.

Model 80 Gen2: No major changes. This one is just cleaner and more exact with the Gen2 production.

Type MS Gen2: Pearl red over chrome foil or black over chrome. The red is a bit more vibrant on the Gen2.

Model 60 is a Mazda font, extremely rare to come by though. I have found a guide at some point with all Mazda badges over the years, will see if I can find it again and post it here. Interestingly, it is my logo of choice for my miata as well.

I have it on my gauges and custom horn button. I'm contemplating on having a metal badge CNC machined. Either place it on the GV panel or centered on a ducktail spoiler.

I'll probably have a few more horn button designs soon. I have ideas of changing out the Eunos design (which doesn't sell that great) for one more similar to the keychain.

And next up will be keychains! Time to update those to Gen2 specs. After that... a small surprise.

A custom Daft Punk badge for a long-time supporter. I hand drew the vectors and printed them in foil colors. Everything is very reflective. It glows in the sun.

I used to only have the red/black and blue/white Elanore badges. Now I also have blue/black and yellow/green in stock. The yellow/green colors are pearl vinyl with the logo in chrome. They're gorgeous.

Hey Adam! After Benny was rear ended the badges didn't survive (or atleast I wasn't brave enough to run onto the freeway to look for them ;). Are you still producing this one? Haven't decided yet if I want to try something different or go back to this but if they're not being made, makes the choice a little easier.

No, I decided to discontinue the NOS badge. It wasn't my original design, it didn't sell well, and it was a pain to make.

Since I'm printing them now, the last bit isn't that important anymore. But I don't plan to ever put them back in the store. If you'd like one, I could do a custom print run of them. Let me know through an order form if you want this.

The Type ER design that started out as a keychain is now in badge form. And it's really smooth looking. The gold foil against the pearl white (or black) really pops. And the chrome foil EUNOS logo is lovely. Looks like jewelry. Pretty dang hard to photograph.

And here's a custom set I did for nostalgia_hero on instagram. These are for his NA named Storm Shadow. White pearl background and dark red foil.

I'm not gonna lie. It was hard to ship these off. I just wanted to keep them and display with my Cobra ninjas (yes, I have a Cobra ninja collection). I need to make up a Cobra horn button for my personal collection.
