Hello all,

So I ordered and received my Works Bell quick release from Miataroadster.

Ordering process and delivery was awesome, hit a few snags but Bill was there the entire way!

I just had a question, do they not produce the all-metal one anymore?
Rev-Limiter has one, and it has 5 different prongs to connect attachments. This is what attracted me to it since my MOMO can have a button-style attachment.

However, the one that came to me had plastic on the inside, and only had room for one horn connector...

Where can I get the one with 5 attachments?
Is this one a fake works bell?

Confused...

I got mine from Evasive. It wasn't a special order or anything. It was just what they sent me.

the king himself answers...

Hmm, is yours the older model?

Lol! King...

As far as I know, mine is the qrs 2.

BTW, yours only really needs one wire connector. The horn grounds through the column. The one wire is the hot wire.

Now, if you wanted some F&F nitrous button action... heh

Did you purchase a Rap-fix 2 quick release or a QRS from Bill? I assure you that Miataroadster sells legit Works bell products as my hub for my car is Legit. I own a black/black Rap-fix 2 and the interior is of Nylon or something but it is very strong. please forgive me if you weren't looking for this information.

I would assume he got the QRS. The site doesn't carry the Rapfix II.

I figured it was legit, as the Works bell shows the same design as mine.

I was wondering why there was a difference between mine and Rev's..

Mine is the QRSII. Yours is the QRS.

Maybe? I'm reaching with that explanation. None of mine is plastic.

QRSII is all aluminum and is coloured.

Doesnt' have the lock and open tabs.

I don't think that's quite right. The Rapid Fix (Rapfix) comes in colors. The Quick Release Spacer (QRS) is black and has the tabs.

I'm looking at buying one of these as well. REV9 offers a FET quick release that looks exactly the same as the Works Bell one.
Is this a replica or just the same part rebranded (or maybe the Works bell is the rebranded part)?
Also I've got a feeling the one terminal/plastic one is the QRS2 and the 5 terminal/all aluminium one is the QRS1.
Which would make sense as usually manufacturers don't try to get a part more expensive to make and sell it for the same money.

FET Quick Release:

Works Bell QRSII (with the 5 terminals)
http://revlimiter.net/blog/2011/03/works-bell-qrs/

They're quite different. The WB has locking ball bearings and little magnetic ears for opening and closing. The FET looks to just be friction contact and it has the one little button for opening and closing.

Man, this is confusing.
The Quick release Rev9 for instance is offering is branded FET, but looks the same as yours.

Where did you get your Works Bell hub, I really want to have the all aluminium one with no plastic part in the middle.
They'r quite a lot of money, so I really would like to get the exact one I want rather than be dissatisfied :P.

I got mine from Evasive Motorsports. Think I spelled that right. They're right at the top of google when you search for the WB QRS.

Thanks, I suppose they just haven't updated the pics on their site yet to the QRS-II you have. It still shows the one terminal QRS.

I'll send them an email about it :P.
