i was under my car the other day and saw this on my rear subframe and brace? it seems to be welded?

I think you're OK with this as is, as far a safety is concerned. It is not a pretty welding job for sure, but it looks like it will hold. Obviously someone was new to mig welding with flux core wire. You could probably clean that up with an angle grinder., and then paint it with POR 15. That is, if you care what the underside of your ride looks like.

well i guess this will be added to my list of things to do. i need a new fuel tank so i might as well replace all that. maybe get some new shocks while i'm in there. anything else i could possibly do while the rear is out?

Undercoat?
I always seem to do that every time I have an area that I normally can't reach. I wire brush everything I can, then spray it all with Duplicolor Undercoat in a rattle can. I might be crazy but the more places I get, the less road noise I get. With the rear out, you can spray the underside of the tub, I think that acts like an echo chamber.

I welded mine too :lol: all the welded nuts in the tub of the car broke. I still need to deal with it one day.
