Hello, and welcome to The tale of Madeleine and me.
We first met a cold november night a few years back, 2008 to be exact, and it was love at first sight.
She was a completely Stock 1992 mx-5 in Silverstone Silver with black leather interior and 147000kms on The clock.
We had alot of fun in The snow that winter, before i started buying her upgrades. I'll ad pics as i go along.

Yeah, those kind of modifications are borderline illegal in Norway and i understand that you guys in Italy also have pretty strict rules when it comes to modifications?

i really like that zoom eyelid and the rear fog light. don't see too many rear fog lights here in the u.s.

Yeah, those kind of modifications are borderline illegal in Norway and i understand that you guys in Italy also have pretty strict rules when it comes to modifications?

exact, even in Italy, these modifications are illegal and almost impossible to be approved, as a set of wide wheels with fender :(
fortunately my used kit have this filter, that hides some...

but out of couriosity, your kit is the one who sold samilius, the last year on mx5nuts ?

Kolbotn
12-26-2011, 04:10 PM
Yes thats right, i bought Samulis Kit last year:)

Thanks Portabull, We have to have rear foglights here in norway, so the Zoom one does an exellent job at replacing tje ugly square standard one...

Can you show some closer pics of the vitalonis? I have a replica set but Can't mount them up properly enough to be able to use em.

Man screw Norway's laws, you should be able to do what you want. Beautiful car.

Kolbotn
01-29-2012, 12:32 PM
I'll see what i can find Erick, i sold them to another guy since i bought The zoom ones.
I used the original mounting holes, had to take a dremel to modify the mountingplates, The mirror on The passenger side was useless, and The driverside was limited...
If i was to use vitalonis again i would drill up some new holes a bit forward on The door, where The M2-1001 has them.

Thank you i<3flippyheadlights! :)

Last week my radiator decided to die, and so The car has been parked up for a week at The gf house. I have been waiting to upgrade to a aluminium one as i was feard The OEM would die sooner or later, Turned out it was sooner, so i had to order a new one. I opted to buy The 50/60m all aloy raceversion from I.L motorsport.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l281/kolbotn/433945a8.jpg
Getting The old one out was a doddle and i soon Found out what had happened, it Turned out to be crisp as a cracker. Gettin the new one in was harder as it takes up much more space than The OEM, but i eventually got it in place. Took me a good few hours, due to som hoseclamps giving me trouble and the fact that The temperature went from -2 to -13 during The day.
Next on The buy list is IL motorsport slimfans and radiatorshroud.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l281/kolbotn/327c399b.jpg

Oh, and i also Found this in my mailbox:
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l281/kolbotn/6ca30602.jpg
so i'll be ordering some new Gauge faces soon...

Kolbotn

A week after installing the new radiator, one of the heater hoses in the back of the engine burst, so i ordered a set of Kevlar reinforced OEM spec ones from www.Autolink.co.uk

I have also been busy ordering some more parts from The far East, thanks too Maxime/Rev9 and Rod/Tetsuya Garage.
New Trap Lip:

Hey guys, Just reminising a bit, its been a few years since she left, parted out and made twice in parts what i got for the car in almost original condition.
And while i do miss her some times (still have some good parts in the garage , just in case... you know...;)
For those who are curious about what i did after i sold her:
I have been able to move on and buy one of my dreamcars, wich is getting a total makeover this winter...
I bought her all stock, imported from california a few years ago. I have already swapped out the suspention and all bushings.

And since the 240z is only a two seater, i buought this one to take the gf and princess to some shows too: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l281/kolbotn/Snapchat-8432232537853041608_zpsudfxaxiq_edit_1442674716761 _zpstzmjiujx.jpg (http://s99.photobucket.com/user/kolbotn/media/Snapchat-8432232537853041608_zpsudfxaxiq_edit_1442674716761 _zpstzmjiujx.jpg.html)

When the datsun is done i'll get some t3 suspention pieces and fit these wheels i found, otherwise it will be kept stock as it is almost rust free and in very good shape
