I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for. I can only guess that you're wanting something like Twitter integration or something (which does not exist for vBulletin 4, as far as I can tell). What is it that you want to happen when you tag a person in a post? Tweet them? Email them? Post it to their Facebook wall? PM them?

Be more clear in what it is you are asking for.

yes, i'm talking about that "twitter integration (or something)" so that one gets a "notification" when they're mentioned.

with twitter in particular? ... cause i think just a general notification in your pm box if someone tags you would be cool :)

All I said was that I couldn't find a plug-in for it, not that it can't be done or even that there ISN'T a plug-in for it.

There are different versions of vBulletin, and version 4 was a major change, plug-ins from version 3 are not compatible. We are using the latest version. The sites you referenced could be using a plug-in on an older version, or they could be custom coded.

Looking harder is not on my agenda, sorry. It's just not that important to me. And, since you posted this two weeks ago and NOBODY else has replied, I don't think anyone else cares, either.

I think it would be sort of cool, but also open to abuse. What if some troll decides to tag you in every post? Annoying. Also eats system resources.
