Very easy job, its basically a simple brake job. All parts swap over with no hassles except fo the removal of the dust guards from the 1.6 and adjustment of emergency brake cable. I didnt make this a full "how-to" thread because i assume if your are going to do this conversion you already know your way around the brake set-up and know how to remove calipers, remove rotors, and bleed brakes.

It doesnt stop like i have 12" brembo's with 4 piston calipers but it definetly stops a lot quicker and make me feel safer

So to start off im going to show you the difference between the 2 rotors... the 1.6 is much smaller and much thinner

after removing the 1.6 rotor and calipers you must remove the 3 bolts holding the dust shield on and then remove the shield with heavy duty snips or a good set of pliers and go caveman style and just rip it off like so...

Once the shield is off, this is what you should see.

Like i mentioned above, everything is a simple swap over with no hassles except for the sdjustment of these 2 nuts that are on the e-brake cable so that your rear brakes are not tight even with the handbrake down (p.s. ive got SS brake lines from the previous owner!!)

And here is a side by side comparison of the brakes... (use the coilover sleeve as a reference point so you can see the size difference)

Did you use the front brake lines from the 1.6 calipers, or from the Sport Brake lines?

i used all of my 1.6 lines... but they are all braided steel lines. Was i supposed to use the sport lines?

I understood they are different. I made sure to get the lines on both sets of Sports I've got.

Aftermarket lines (braided) are the same 90-05. OEM lines are different 90-93 and 94-05, at least in part numbers.

Looks like you need to get the boots on the upper ball joints and the track(tie) rod ends replaced.
