Hey guys,

For the 4 years I've own my Miata(s), I've always wanted a neat & elegant oil cap. I never gotten around to getting one because, well, I don't know. I finally got one from REV9 and had the chance over the weekend to install it and do a short review.

The oil cap itself is a nice piece. Though from the pictures, I expected it to be a little more solid feeling. On a scale from 1-10, I would say quality of this oil cap is a 9.5.

The installation is as simple as putting a sock on your foot. No tools necessary, obviously. The only thing you'd need is a towel of some sort to wipe down the engine bay if you feel like being clean.

So, this is what you get right out of the package. The Garage502 oil cap itself, and a factory Mazda oil cap o-ring.

Out of the wrapping.

Slip that o-ring on there. Make sure you put the o-ring on the right way. It only goes on 1 way, correctly.

Seeeee?

Remove the old oil cap, and screw on the Garage502 cap.

Looks great, doesn't it? Now go get yourself one!

It's a lovely cap, that's for sure!

Picked one up from Rev9 a couple of months back and love...though I was expecting it to have more heft. :)

How much heft were you expecting? The OEM cap is pretty light.

Can you explain a bit more on how to put the o-ring on?

I think I may have to do this. That OEM black one is just an eyesore.

Well you see, make sure you open the packaging carefully. You wouldn't want to accidentally rip the o-ring. Your choice to lube it or not. Then make sure you squeeze the tip and roll it - wait... what's going on here? You just put the damn thing on. Lol.

I wasn't expecting too much heft from it. Just enough to have a nice solid feel to it. I guess you can compare the heft from a fake apple to a real apple. Heh.

Should you double up? You know, just in case of any diseases...Wait. Wrong topic....

Hilarious response...

The Garage Star one looks dope. But the thread went nowhere. Lol. It'll be worth the wait for those waiting when it finally gets made, though.

I've been debating making a build thread for awhile. But I think I'm going to wait till I have better money flow to have a worthy/exciting thread. Or else the thread will just sit there without any updates and be all sad like.
