I think these were originally fitted, with the rear mudflaps, to early European and Australian MX5s, but it seems you can fit them on their own. I quite like the look of them (probably completely non-functional, but a subtle look). What do others think? Anyone know where I can buy replicas (outside of Japan) from? I think these have been long deleted from the Mazda spares list.

I like those a lot. They came on the M2 1028 Roadster in Japan, which I adore. I don't know if Mazda still has any, but the part numbers for them are NA13-51-874B-SU and NA13-51-884B-SU listed as 'PROTECTOR' on MMD in the US. I pretty sure that's the right part. I was planning to order some from Mazda Motorsports, but I haven't yet, so I'm not sure if they have any left...

Those part numbers refer to a red part. If you find they are still available, please met me know, plus what Mazda is asking for them.

Yeah, I just checked... :/

If anyone finds a source, I'd like to know, as well...

Edit: I'll keep looking, though.

Peculiar. They look rather out of place without the lower half (the "shorty" mud guards).

I'd love to have these for the nice part of the year when I don't have my mudflaps on the car.

You can fit them with the shortie mudflap

I know, but I have the slightly uglier big ones.
