Warning, this is a slow build, bits and pieces here and there...

Hi, I'm Steve, my wife says I drive too fast (see screen name), this is me...
5707

Back in '09 the wife's van started falling apart...
5708

So she now drive's my truck...
5709

and I found a low mile '97 on CL, only 14,000 km, original down to the tires. My new DD...

This is how she looks now, with 70,000 km...
5711

HT was another CL find, fair condition but colour matching.

Long the way I put on some used Konig Imagine wheels (15x7 +35) that I bought from Beck. I painted the polished rim bronze. I used the same paint for the Voodoo shift knob and brake handle.
5722
*I'll update this pic later

I also got a Key's shift knob from Rev9 after winter...
5713
5714
PU'd some mounted winter tires from a local club member also

drv2fst
11-20-2012, 10:32 PM
Got some tow hooks from Royuku Rob
5725

Stripes from R2 Limited, side skirts/splitters from Planet Miata, R-lips from a forum member
5726

Underneath are HPS pads I bought from Ted7, FM sways, 949 end links, 949 SS brake lines, 949 lugs

drv2fst
11-20-2012, 10:36 PM
Club NA nose badge (from Rev9), and Cusco plate bracket
5720
and KG works panel with AWD needle caps, both from R-Speed
5721

Need pics of REV9 OE-Style 1002 Pedals

Next on my list are coilovers in the spring...budget dependent, and a Nardi Wheel / Dakei hub combo.

:shocked:That's one cold Miata

It was a little frosty that morning, started both vehicles and went back inside.
5717

The back window finally cracked last spring and I installed a Robbins Sunfast top with glass window; that should endure better especially with HT for winter.

PS. Neither top has defroster, I hate those lines in the window.

Brushed vent rings
5723

Under hood is CX Racing radiator when my top tank looked brown (about to blow), and a TDR front panel.

All lights were debadged/cleaned and polished. Rear panel badging minimized...

I have a KG works spoiler from R-Speed that I'll put back on in the spring.
Also bought some home-made CF NACA headlight lids waiting to go on; not that smooth so I'll fill the pits and colour match them.

Hello Steve and welcome to the forum! Very nice intro and thanks for all the photos.

Just curious...what's that white fuzzy stuff?

drv2fst
11-21-2012, 11:42 PM
North of the 49th we sometime get frost, this fuzzy stuff can be called hoar frost, it can get quite spectacular on the prairie but as the USA is just 5ft from my back fence it doesn't get too bad here :D

I almost forgot the Eunos shifter trim ring I got from CWW180 here on MR.net, absolutely love it. (see pic in post#3)

One thing I've realized is that it is too easy to spend small$ on small pieces than save for the bigger ticket items I want :fp: , but if you don't then you're standing still which is as boring as...well...standing still.

Got a Lotus style Eunos badge and decided to mount it on the rear finish panel as I already have an Eunos nose badge up front.

Slow builds are good, I try never to rush, unless somethings on fire.............

I really like your build and as a fellow Steve, I should know. ;)

Where did you get the Eunos badging? I've seen them in the UK, but hadn't seen anything in the Americas.

IIRC nose badge from MiataRoadster (sponsor here), and the lotus style badge is a Zoom product that I bought from a local guy who travels to Japan frequently. I got some Zoom LED side winkers from him too; I`ve been reading Revlimiters install page. Rear Eunos badge from RSpeed (sponsor here also).

Already looked good with the KG works panel and AWD needle caps, but with the addition of Rev's offerings, it is glorious.

I painted my cheap wheels again, wanted them a little brighter. Not sure if I like it. I may paint the barrel silver to tone them down.

RoadsterSport 3 exhaust from Goodwin. I've tried it unbaffled, stock baffle, and packed baffle. Love the sound of them all, but running the packed for daily duty.
Fit is great, installation easy.
