i loved the drive home though the 241 last night! it was awesome! i drove home from 949 at around 11PMish, top down. <3

The 241 is beautiful at sunset, around tomato springs. on a clear day, near the santiago cyn exit, you can see the ocean.

Tina and I are going tomorrow and Saturday.

Back to work from the holiday break. Wanted to do a lot of driving, but got no opportunity because the cars were all trapped inside the garage by back yard construction. The upside is that we're finally putting up a privacy wall between us and the bad neighbors...and there's now more pad space added to the patio. That means more space for cars during tech days. :)

random noob question

will "rolling the fenders" on my car will fuck my factory warranty?

i was "dumb" enough to buy the extra warranty for my car.. and so far they told me i can not modify the suspension and the engine.. :/

Coupeloop

if they wont let you lower your car, then why need to roll it? unless you're gonna run 20in+ size rims.

i was thinking to make a "deal" under the table with the main mechanic in the shop were i go for the oil-repairs-warranty

you know, to ask'em if i supply the parts (suspension ((coilovers, ets)) bars and general parts) and (maybe) the engine) and they don't rat me out lol

oh by the way, my english writing sucks, it's my second language, i i thing i'm wanna get me first the fender flares of the super 20, and wide rims/tires

surprisingly, i was only a little slower in the blue 1.6 car than in the orange car. i think it was because the power was just more controllable. i couldn't help but to have the rear end going all over the place on the Orange car. nothing more wheel time wouldn't fix though. imma try to stop but the Auto-X during my lunch, as i only work 2.5 mi away.

I was there yesterday too we left during rush hour, and when we go there we only had one hour left. -_- two hour drive for one hour of stuff. Jo has the "Walkie" app on her iphone that tells us real time line wait times. In the one hour we where there we got to do quite a bit, because it was so empty. but we didn't head over to C-adventure, as the wait time for Toy Story was still 40min.

i think going after everything is done would be a great idea. I always feel kinda bad for people who come out of state and pay as much as they do, only to find half a park.

kung fu jesus
01-19-2012, 10:58 AM
I hear you, Manny, but Disney does a really great job posting what is under construction well ahead of time. Even with the rides being refurbed during their slow time, it's still impossible to see everything in one park in one day.

The entrance to CA is supposed to be completed soon. The Carsland area will be pretty cool, judging from those videos in that link I posted. I have to admit, most of the time, I just like looking at the design of the parks; the architecture, landscaping, materials and details. It's always really impressive to me, especially the level of detail it is executed at.

I prefer CA over DL just because of that. Plus CA never feels overwhelmingly crowded to me. I also like I can just sit and chill near the back and enjoy a pretzel and beer, watching the rides.

I prefer CA over DL just because of that. Plus CA never feels overwhelmingly crowded to me. I also like I can just sit and chill near the back and enjoy a pretzel and beer, watching the little boys.

I totally agree, The AV stuff simply amazes me. i spend more time looking at how the effects were made, and the technology they use. The room with where "Talk with Crush" and the Animation Academy is my absolute Fave. i can stare at the ceiling the whole time. It was my "dream" to work as one of the Imagineers who work on this stuff. But after working at 42 Entertainment, they were all ex-Imagineers who were at the top of the food chain, they told me that wasn't necessarily the way to go. Awesome stuff regardless. If you go into the "World of Tomorrow" in Tomorrowland, you will see an home automation system called "Control 4". I used to install the same system when i worked for Circuit City as a HT installer. I kinda take some of the "Magic" away seeing certain "Mistakes" in the config. But awesome nonetheless.

An imagineering job was a 10 year wait the last I heard. I know a few industrial designers locally who work for Disney and they like it very much. That animation attraction in CA is really pretty awesome. I can't draw lile that, and my computer animation skills areno where near that level. I still love it. There are sooo many details in both parks I see and it amazes me to think how it was conceptualized and made.

why do you need that? well it'll fit, but.. for that price just buy an Ebay one lol. brace is a brace. ESPECIALLY a strut bar, its not a wear item/they don't break (unless under some circumstances ie smashing your car)/ its not like they have moving parts on them to break either..
but if you do buy one and wanna go cheap, at least find one that is oval bodied like this instead of your normal circular pipe.
http://www.maxspeed-motorsport.com/catalog/images/OS%20XXXXXXXX.jpg

maybe its just me, but usually companies that do make strut bars like so have a lil bit more quality in em

Neocataboi

If it was a 01' type, and not the MSM it would be better, because it doesn't have that extra piping, and is a bit lighter. but still crazy heavy, you can pick them up for 20 bucks sometimes from people who upgrade to a lighter bar.

you find some steel plate, maybe 2-3mm thick, cut it to size, drill holes, paint it, boom - done. It's just a backing plate for the third mounting point on the STB so it distributes the load over a wider area and not directly to the thin sheetmetal of the firewall.

you're not engineering a jet engine here.

look at this...

http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr263/1okie1/Sale/FrontView.jpg

Sean, yes...the sooner the better, but it's not dangerous.

You run the risk of the pads wearing unevenly. Also, the possibility of the pads getting stuck is also there. I have had it happen. One pad was cockeyed and the piston in the caliper actually bent the ears.

It's not difficult, but a little tricky because the rear caliper "flips up" to work on the pads. The springs want to push the pads apart. Sometimes I have someone pinch the pads together while I try to slip the caliper over it.

as for pros and cons.
the material feels smoother because i used products to protect the leather so it would have just felt as smooth whether i dyed it or not. that being said, it literally looks and feels oem. nothing strange about it at all, i really wish you could be here to see it. there is no blemishes at all. i sat on for a good while and rubbed my ass on it. and theres nothing on my clothes.

It needs to be a little smaller to fit in, so I hoped a shop could do it. They were unable to do so. The silencer came from Topspeed for the exhaust, so I dont know what to do. Bacon shakeee? I might have to try one tomorrow after work.

Computer geeks:

Would any of you savvy computer nerds happen to know why my computer at work constantly logs me out of MR.net and CR.net every time I click a new thread/refresh page/click the back button/etc...? It's starting to bug the shit out of me. My cookies seem to be fine. I have it set to where cookies delete automatically when I close the page. This happens on both Chrome and Firefox. Anything I should look for in specific to change in the options setting that will help?

Thanks.

Dilly, do you have the remember me box checked? if not, that could be the problem. If your work uses dynamic ip addys, it can, from what I've heard, cause what you are experiencing.
