I think it looks kind of funny... Like a carbon fiber mannequin leg.

Maybe some kind of resonance chamber.

Probably some sort of replacement for the Helmholtz resonator.

Hmm, wonder how well it'd work. Interesting idea, for sure. Never seen it before either.

Dyno of Scud with Boa intake, vs just the chamber vs stock

In the intake pipe to double further inertia supercharging effect of SCUD air filter, there is also the use of a single effect.
Effect also contributes to improved fuel economy for appearing as acceleration without stagnation to high rpm, such as those with increased torque low to medium speed, sharpness of the throttle response, the VTEC, there is a torque even with a small throttle opening during normal running
The pipe can be excellent in strength and thermal insulation made of carbon fiber, to minimize the increase in intake air temperature.
Doubling effect in combination with the image of SCUD, perfect intake system is completed

The torque compared to the intake pipe up across genuine, the lack of large torque sauce, at high rpm from low to medium speed ranges stand out. I found that a further performance improvement by the combined use of SCUD

Never seen it either, but interesting.

the lack of large torque sauce

Is that like blinker fluid? I wonder where it's available, my car definitely could use some torque sauce.

looks expensive but really nice

52000-54000 yen...for the CF pipe only

The "intake air filtration system version2 NA8 · NB roadster SCUD" (CF air cleaner)- 57000 yen

makes my wallet cringe.

5700 Yen is only about 60.00 bucks USD. There is a magic to the tuned intake pipes, sizes, and lengths. Not saying this one works, but it might.

Sorry, it was 57 thousand yen i was typing fast from the web site. So, 600.00 for the CF air cleaner alone. I like the whole set up actually, but spending that much coin for something new and really no feedback seems like too much of a chance. Although I picked up my Monsterflow CF intake unit after reading only 3-4 reviews and liked it. Ah, the days of buying on the fly.

Damn, this looks awesome.

If someone was staying NA without resorting to ITB's I'd think this intake with the skunk2 throttle body and maf delete would sound pretty sexy.
