^ You know, with those miles + the HT, that car is worth that kind of coin!

Well, put it up for sale then, if it sells then you'll know. You can always ask a high price, take offers and refuse them. Go for it!

Based on the pictures he sent me of the dash and undercarriage, I'm thinking $7,500-$8,200 is the true sweet spot. When they purchased it from a dealership in Cincinnati, they had far less into it and would still turn a profit selling at that price point. Right now they are fishing for an "educated buyer".

If I was on the market for such a ride, I would not dicker over $1-2K bucks!

They turned down my 8K offer, they believe it will sell "as is" for 10K+

A) We already know that you have a commitment issue.

B) You offered $8K, 'cause you would try to get $11K... ;)

I bought my montego with 25,xxx, HT, popular equipment package, Torsten, etc. for $7500. Owner even had already done the timing belt when his dad gave it to him

And you did VERY well, but the BRG such as the one in this thread, is what would/could be called a "game changer".

A game changer you say? Cause it's a BRG?

Then I would have to find a replacement, and I have been spoiled. No thanks on that!

A low mileage BRG with a HT.

There are but of few Miatas that truly defy logic, this is one of them.

It has two things going for it. the main thing driving the price is the low production number, and low mileage.

but if you go head to head vs say a white Miata in production numbers

Mazda only made 3997 NA Miata's in British Racing Green
but
Mazda made over 40,000 NA Miata's in White (Crystal White & Chaste White)

So which one is harder to find? (Supply & Demand)

Then there is the old school British Racing Green paint on a vintage Miata, and it evokes the true sports car feel/look.

just my .02 cents

I understand the price and the laws of supply and demand. I just didn't get why it was a game changer. I understand BRG Is a highly sought after color and that there are die hard BRG fans but its still just a stock miata.

Don't get me wrong though, it is still VERY, very impressive and a very beautiful car.

A BRG is anything but a stock Miata. There are $20K dollar NA's. Hard to believe? To some, I suppose.

No, I definitely believe it. I don't mean to come off like an asshole or anything. I suppose I'm just mad I'm at work lol. Like I said, it's definitely impressive for any car that's 22 years old to have that kind of mileage. Especially when it's one of our little hair dresser cars. ;)

Actually I would buy this one, fix the known issues, and keep it to replace my last BRG (18,422 miles when sold three years ago).....There is something about the classic BRG/tan combination that pulls at my heartstrings.

If I had the coin, I'd buy your Laguna Blue. That is the IT Miata for me. Well, an LB/Tan like "Rod's", but unlike him, I'm not greedy!

I would just like a different color NA to drive everyday of the week, is that too much to ask? :bangle:

In your neck of the woods I find roughly 50 Miatas for sale within that typical (I call it the lazy mans market) 60 mile radius. Some are well priced, some sellers believe that their cars are worth 2-4X more than they are.......More of them are being advertised as "slammed" down to the ground, like that makes them more valuable as a daily driver that cannot make it in to the supermarket parking lot.
