I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this is why my turn signals don't cancel:

Anyone have an extra laying around?

Car is a 91. Oh, I don't care about cruise switches since I don't have CC anyway. Thanks!

3 MiataFamily - Thanks for looking.

furrycurry33 - Replied to PM.

Phatty - I made the cruise control switch into a horn button. Kinda silly I know but it works :)

The connection you have circled would not be cause for your turn signals not cancel, on the backside of clock spring there are plastic tabs , which I'm guessing are broken or been screwed up with who ever tried to do the steering wheel adapter to aftermarket. The wires you have would affect the horn and for sure and if had a airbag the light would be on as well. The center white piece is all you need.

Got it! Thanks furrycurry33.

What he said. Plus, you'll want to rotate the ring all the way to one end and then the other, count the revolutions and then return the ring halfway. For instance, if the ring turns four revolutions from stop to stop, you'll want to rotate it all the way to one end and then back two revs. That puts it in the middle of its travel and then you mount your steering wheel, making sure the plastic tabs (nipples) sink into the corresponding holes in the steering hub.

Thanks for those tips, guys. I plan to get this fixed this weekend and will post here when I get everything sorted out.

Turn signals cancel now. Yay! Horn button still doesn't work so I'm sticking with my silly cruise-control-switch-as-horn-button for now.

I need the circled "tab" because that's what the hub uses to turn the clockspring, which turns the white thingy which then cancels the turn signals. Yes, thingy is what that is really called.
