I'm looking for seats from the 95 M-edition Miata. Leather condition is unimportant (moar wear the better for better price point) as my plan will be to have them reupholstered. I currently am looking for a pair but will be interested in a single seat if available. I will consider just the seat backs if the price is right as that may make shipping easier and cheaper if needed. I am located in Florida.

My guess is that you're going to be out of my price range, especially being on the left coast. I'm pretty much looking to go cheap as I would prefer to put the majority of the investment in the upholstery. I kind of have a specific pattern in mind and I am in no hurry right now. I do really like your car, however.:eagerness:

drats.

the only bad thing about having a rare red interior is that nobody wants it. I need new seats. =(

I upholstered a set of M seats a buddy gave me in black leather back in '08

Really good job on those KFJ.

Cx, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. But like I said, I'm in no hurry. If you get really desperate . . . :winky: . . . I could possibly rock the red for a while and reupholster later, at least I would have the seats I'd like to start with. If you could make some magic happen with shipping . . . but I'm not going to fund your new expensive seats:D . . . I'm in the hand me down market here.

Those are sweet 'Yata, but a little rich for my needs. You are geographically desirable though.

$700 is a steal for those in that condition. It cost me about that much to upholster mine.

Thanks KFJ. Once folks check how much those black covers cost, they'll see you're not joking. I didn't know you had a set and I have to say, they look superb!

Thanks! Friend gave them to me before he moved overseas. They were slashed and beat. I worked with an upholsterer I knew to redo those. i sold them to Slevin and I think they are in his brother's Miata. I needed something a little better for my size and for the track.

I would absolutely love a set of these

Well the covers cost me $600 shipped, and the seats cost me $250 if I remember correctly. This was about a year ago. I was thinking maybe $500-$600 for everything. I just gotta find me some better seats.

Or I'll just do a foamectomy for more comfort and have the covers made into the legit upholstery by a shop. At least that's the plan right now. I really wish I could get me some vintage style seats, but I cannot find any that are not a fortune. :(

Between LA and TJ there are more quality upholsterers than you can shake a stick at.

Have any you'd recommend in San Diego? :D

Go to a hot rod/custom car show. Find a car you like the interior of, talk to the owner.

I might sell just one if you're interested.

I need to mount my lotus seat first, though.

one down - Thanks atank! http://mazdaroadster.net/showthread.php?5883-Euro-Seatback-(single)-100-plus-shipping&p=88447#post88447

one to go. The europeans are so fussy about international shipping for some reason.

No problem, yes international shipping can be a pain.

I was sad to see them go but I can't wait to see them refinished. Pretty cool talking to Dandy for a while too.
