In case anyone is in the market for Miata repair manuals - I found a seller on eBay called Blueeyedbooklady. She sells repair manuals for all different makes and models but I just happened to purchase one of the Chilton Miata manuals. She has either the Chilton or Haynes listed for $20 or best offer plus $4 shipping.

I offered $20 total ($16+$4 shipping) and she accepted. Just an FYI.

Is there much of a difference between Haynes and Chilton? I have a 90-97 MX-5 haynes manual and aside from the aging pictures that you can't see it's wonderful.

That's a good question and you'll probably get varying answers. It seems like everyone has an opinion which company produces a better manual. From the posts I've read on Miata.net, it seems that most guys pick up one of the manuals and then download the Mazda repair manual as well so they can have two different sources. I've had both Chilton and Haynes and for me, it seems Chilton has better instructions and Haynes has better pics.

Not sure if you've seen this link, but it contains downloadable versions of most of the official Mazda Miata repair manuals.
