After my passenger side power mirror glass fell off a few months ago.. my driver side decided to fall off the car also. I couldn't find replacement glass, so I decided to plug the passenger hole with something other than tape, and switch to a manual driver side mirror.

Picked up a engine from a local member.

Then spent hours upon hours (days on days yo) researching all of the bogussvo threads on MT..

A few weeks later, I told the GF that I needed to order a "few" parts the get the new engine up and running.

At first I was going full ham with a tube front, however under closer inspection I found that none of the main chassis is bent or damaged. I will be able to drill out 53-100 and spot a new one back on.

So now that I am pretty much caught up.. Car is on the road, however the bumper and hood are pretty much ghetto rigged on. Nothing fits well on the pulled and bent up tie support.. which I still DO NOT have my hands on :vash:. Once that goes in I should be able to get the bumper and hood to fit correctly. Then all I need is a diver side fender and some "paint".

Also, grabbed a set of hood hinges (mine were bent) and a new main fan from local parts guy today.

I put fresh coats of wrinkle on the valve cover. Silver VHT on all the accessory's. Kept the PO purple block

Also did brass freeze plug.

PP: Act XT, tested at over 2400Lbs of force (resurfaced)
Fly: Act 1.8 Prolight (resurfaced)
Disk: Custom 6 sprung 6 puck. Because of the resurfacing on the PP and fly, the width of pads were compensated for no loss in force (Which I thought was pretty cool).

After a week long battle, the motor is officially running and in the car. Compared to my almost 200k motor, this thing gives me the feels.

Breaking in the clutch for about 400 miles before I can start playing around.

I was originally going to order the final missing piece for the turbo.. an intercooler. However, I cant handle this wrecked look anymore.. So the turbo is being pushed back at least another month.

The good news is, the front tie bar is getting here tomorrow, and I also picked up a driver side fender!! Lets fix it!
