Farewell to a good friend... (YellowYata)

Nobody died so I'll get that out first but it sure feels that way, nor has my Miata been wrecked, just traded in.

The time has come to say goodbye to YellowYata and I wanted to do a little photo tribute in memory of all the years it's been with me through thick and thin. I've probably worked on it and admired it more than drive it but that's because it was more therapeutical than the VA ever was, keeping my hands and mind occupied. Lately, I've been happier spending Friday nights with a beer, a wrench, good tunes and my Miata rather than going out.

I've met so many Miata folks from Seattle to Tampa and made good friends because of it. I've cruised through the Cascades in Washington to the Continental Devide in Montana to the beaches in Florida for sunset and loved every minute of it. All good things must come to an end so we have to part ways.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not leaving the Miata community, nor the best Miata forum around nor the best little Miata club you've never heard of (Gearheads). I hope to pick up a beater NA I can paint yellow one day but for now, I bid adieu to my yellow Yata and thanks for all the memories.

I sold practically everything and returned it back to stock as much as possible. Yeah, I was pretty down about the deal. Pretty unceremonious but I wouldn't expect a car dealer to think of it like I do. Hard going into the garage and no more yellow. It's going to pop up somewhere in Ft. Meyers and I hope someone in our community gets it so I can see it again.

Yata has a ton of info stuffed into that oversized Melon haid. He'll be hanging around forever and then some.

I have to give major Props to my bud. He is always the first one to volunteer and one of the last to leave an event to help make sure we leave it as clean or cleaner than before we got there. He's always willing to lend a hand on all types of projects and has mad soldering skills. Miata or not that Ex gay biker gang biatch will always be there for us, specially for the Gearheads
