How-To Cool an Overheated Engine With Julia :winky:

Is this useful information? You bet it is! Letting your car engine overheat is a costly mistake that can lead to having your head gasket blown out or a cylinder head cracked, a major bummer. So what do you do to protect your car engine when you see that temperature gauge tread into the danger zone? You’d better allow the lovely Julia to explain it to you below.

One very helpful piece of advice, especially on a hot day with an older car, is to turn off the air conditioner and turn on your heater as high as it goes. This should transfer heat away from the engine and help you determine if you’re dealing with mild overheating or a serious problem. If the temperature gauge doesn’t return to normal, it’s time to pull over and look at things more closely. Yes, you will be driving with your heater on during a hot day, but it’s better than doing major damage to your car engine. Plus, if you happen to look like Julia, you’ll have a socially acceptable excuse to dress like her too. Check out Julia’s tips below. How do you think she did? Any other car engine overheating tips she missed?

I had to pause at 1:14. You know, just to make sure I knew how to put coolant in my radiator. Very educational.
