I did this mod many years ago. This isn't really new info. But there are amazingly few pix that detail the process. So here goes. How to make a soft top boot fit with a rollbar.

1: Slice the stitches in this seam. Cut all the way back to the end of the seam.

Yeah, you could just fold the latch down. But it rattles. This way keeps it all secure.

It's a nice subtle touch to add to the car that really cleans things up. I did it on my NA and NB:

more of the same. the upholstery shop that installed my soft top also fit this cover for my roll bar. it was done the same way as pictured above and it makes a huge difference in appearance.

This has been on my to-do list for a while now. Doing my BF roll bar and door bars was painful enough, I'm giving the sewing task to a pro instead.
