I was reading around, to get a feel of how to write my first build thread... I must admit I've decided to start writing one a little late, having done a few mods already in the short time I've spent with Annie (my Miata). I suppose I'll post what I've got so far, and from here-on-out I'll be more in-depth, having the thought of a 'build' in mind, with more pictures and such. So I apologize thus far that there aren't any "install process pics", but there will be...

I'm from NY, but was on vacation driving through Craigsville, WV in August '11 when i saw this on the side of the road :)

926927928

fell in lust with her at first sight, completely stock in excellent condition, barely 100k miles logged and I had to test drive her. I never drove or rode in a Miata before, but a good buddy of mine (Kyle L) has had a couple of them and had already dug far into his build, so I asked him about all the things I should be looking for during the test drive. Ripped it down the street a couple miles and lust turned into love... checked for limited slip with a nice brakestand and drove the car away the next day! <3

Who the heck goes on vacation and comes back with a car?!

Anyways, my original intentions were to leave her completely stock and have myself a "modern day classic"... however, Kyle coerced me into some necessary mods and it began. After the 500+ mile drive home, I noticed the ride was a bit loose and the rear shocks could stand a replacement... introducing the Racing Beat tubular front and solid rear sway bars to tighten the handling :)
929
and the Raceland coilovers to quiet the ocean boat rocking when I take off.
930
...now Racelands might not be the best choice, but the price was right for me and it's a heck of an improvement on the stock feel/rocking...

and halfway through the install it looked like this:
932
dead bodies in the trunk!!!!

lol and when it was done, she sat like this:
933

I still wanted the car to appear as stock as possible... but before long I thunk up a colour scheme that really grabbed my attention. Brown.

I figured I'd start with my engine a bit. Taking this:
934
and making this...

As soon as i got the valve cover back from the powdercoating shop, I had received and installed this bad boy right here, GodSpeed aluminum radiator straight from eBay! (having been told I had brown-radiator syndrome)
937

and a couple days later, I ended up having to put Annie in bed for the winter...

936

... over the winter I have set my mind on the wheels that I wanted. I searched long and hard for a set of vintage, deep dish Eagle Alloy 028's, but settled for their identical twin, the Optima Alloy 5-star.
938
wrong bolt pattern, but exactly the style I wanted and some custom wheel adaptors are in the works, as well as plans for brown candy coating on the spokes :) the center caps that came with the wheels are terribly ugly, 7" diameter with a big lug nut lookin piece in the middle, ew, so i'm working on making some nice plain flat ones...

..so from here on I will start taking more pics along the way.

updates soon :)

So, I've been working on centercaps for the wheels I got. They came with some really ugly ones that had huge, fake hexnut things on 'em... 1642 So I started looking all over for some plain 7" caps... I was convinced that the plain caps off of old GMC Sierra's or Chevy pickup trucks would work, but it turned out they were 7.5", so I took the Ford caps off of my '89 5.0 and set to work. I used JB Weld because its temperature rating is near 600 degrees, so it would withstand future powdercoating.164316441645164616471648
...and all ready to be coated :) 1649

How was the install on the racelands?
Nice car btw!

imperfekt
02-06-2012, 11:15 PM
it went fairly easy... did the rear ones in my driveway with what few tools I have; box wrenches and ratchets. did the front ones at Kyle L's cause he's got better tools. they may be cheap but I like 'em :)

and tyvm!

Love the poop brown/orange valve cover. Looks real nice. Didn't really read through, are you planning a wire tuck? It would look great with a tuck and a painted engine bay.

By brown radiator syndrome are you talking about the plastic end tanks being brown? Or something else I should be paranoid of?

imperfekt
02-08-2012, 01:13 AM
the older ones, i suppose, came stock with aluminum rads... but after um... well, i guess 94 which is mine, i have plastic housing along the top which turned brown (signifying it's old and getting brittle, i guess) so, i didn't think much about getting an aluminum radiator... wasn't a huge investment :)

I just bought slim fans and a JRSC m45 a couple days ago. Waiting for them to ship :)

and yes, platypus, I <3 the color of my valve cover - doing the rims the same color... and yes, i'm taking out all of the A/C equipment and doing some simple cleaning/tucking but nothing tooooo crazy. the bay, i'll probably leave black, but try and clean it as much as possible... we'll see, i suppose.

yeah... so i'm waiting on the refund from gomiata, and hoping the guy on miata.net holds onto his mp62 long enough for me to get the refund and buy it off him. he wants 2250 for it with 4k miles on it, i call that a steal so yeah, this refund better hurry

funny thing is, i emailed gomiata about the status of my order and they didn't reply, only when i called them they said they don't have em and can't get em. so i was thinkin like "so they weren't gonna reply to me or say anything and just keep my moneys until i called them? what the heck is that nonsense..." haha

I picked up my rims from the powder coater today... I had wanted them to be the same brown as my valve cover, with a polished lip... but the lip polishing isn't gonna happen i guess though the brown matches excellently. I think, all in all, they turned out nice :)

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03012012172-1.jpg

and came home to find a BOV that i'm going to work into my supercharger setup like cjsafski used to have (see this thread (http://mazdaroadster.net/showthread.php?535-help-creating-a-bov-d-s-c-setup-please))

he mentioned it was just a simple and cheap eBay bov so I listened and got this, which, with a hacksaw and some couplers, will fit in the midst of my jrsc crossover pipe...

So yesterday was finally nice enough to get some work done into my little project!! :) well, I decided to start with the steering wheel, hub and speedometer cable - since they all need some dash disassembly to get done.
Pulled her into my buddy's garage bright and early :)http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012196.jpg
The quick release was super-easy... the hardest part? drilling a tap into the back of my short hub so my horn works... but hey! it works! :)

The eBay company was outta black hubs, so I went with my second choice (which i was debating making my first choice) ...Gold!
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03102012193.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012198.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012197.jpg

I wish I had taken some more pics during the install, but it was pretty quick and painless and the speedometer cable was so much easier than I expected. Also, my dash and stuff is still pretty disassembled as the project is ongoing... next up?

A TopSpeed header! :D

imperfekt
03-12-2012, 10:45 PM
So after the barely-half-hour job of the speedometer cable and such, I decided to jump into the header...

First step for me was to remove the intake piping and stock heat sheild :)
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012199.jpg

Then, (once again lacking many pictures) removed a bunch of nuts and a handful of bolts, leaving her looking like this....
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012200.jpg

The new header wasn't too keen on fitting in, so we undid the driver's side engine mount and jacked up the engine a bit. Then, bam! Slid right into place, no problems :)
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012201.jpg

except....

the header's EGR valve port is on the wrong pipe, the O2 sensor is in a different location on the header and the catalytic converter flange is gonna require some creativity on my behalf...

as for the EGR problem, it was decided that I'd have to remove the intake manifold (also because I had kinda wanted to paint the manifold...) cut the EGR pipe, put a new flare on the end of the EGR pipe and call it a day. I started to remove the intake manifold!
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012203.jpg

... and then another problem... (boy, nothing can ever be easy can it?)

half the bolts holding on the manifold are unreachable, so as i was about to give up and re-assemble the manifold and pinch off the EGR, my buddy says "Let's lift the motor out and do it right the first time. You'll be glad you did."

ugh... so I set that project aside for now and decided to install my Moss Low-Pro's... yes, all these things in the same day...

imperfekt
03-12-2012, 10:55 PM
Heading from the super easy job of the speedo cable/quick release, to the header/egr/intake disaster that I spent like 8 hours playing with, the headlights were pretty easy also, though needed minor fussing.

The stops that apparently keep the headlights from popping up too far needed to be cut, as they didn't let the Mosses raise up high enough. These stops, to be exact:
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012205.jpg

Aside from that, though, the driver's side headlight was kinda saggy, so I had to take the slide off and re-drill the mounting holes for it about a half inch back, because when the motor extended the lifting rod, it wasn't pushing tight against the headlight and holding it up all the way.

Anyways, aside from that, they went in without a hitch... lookin pretty good.

The height difference :)
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012204.jpg

Oddly enough, the headlight housings almost match my valve cover!
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03112012208.jpg

and all installed!

03-14-2012, 02:37 PM
So, yesterday... back to work. At the beginning of the day, it was decided that the engine was gonna be pulled. This is something I've never done before, I'm not much of a mechanic, but Kyle L said it'd be easy as he's had his car down to a shell and reassembled it... so OK was my answer. Pulled into his garage and set to work on removing everything that needed to go, drained fluids, etc.

Started by removing the header I fitted the day prior
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012215.jpg

Drained the coolant and took out the radiator.
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012216.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012219.jpg

Uninstalled all of my AC... not keeping it :P
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012225.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012221.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03132012220.jpg

Drained the clutch fluid and disconnected the hoses up by the firewall, drained the power steering and detached the hoses...

Removed the PPF bolts and un-hooked the exhaust to slide out the driveshaft, unplugged about a million plugs and wiring harnesses and pulled the heater core hoses... but at the end of the day (around 2am) the engine/tranny combo simply wouldn't come out.
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03142012227.jpg

I believe the oil pan isn't getting high enough to clear the subframe, the tranny is pressing against the tunnel but the oil pan is still not high enough to get over the subframe to come forward and outta the bay.

Tonight I'm going to reassemble the driveshaft, PPF and tranny as well as re-attach the speedometer cable, reverse/neutral safety switch plugs etc and just detach the tranny from the engine and try to pull it without pulling the transmission along with it...

:S

imperfekt
03-16-2012, 10:26 PM
The engine and tranny finally came out a couple days ago...
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03142012228.jpg

Took off the intake manifold and hi-temp painted it flat black to match the supercharger outlet manifold and the crossover pipe, which are both black.
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03162012240.jpg

and spent some time fiddling with the EGR valve to get it to fit the new header... a torch, a hacksaw, a flare tool and some time, and she fits no problem :)

also, popped the tranny off the engine to replace the clutch, refinish the flywheel and replace some seals...
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/03162012238.jpg

03-24-2012, 08:08 PM
after days of waiting, a clutch kit, intake mani gasket, some new fuel injectors, custom bending/cutting on my EGR and a handful of frustrating hours of shimmying my motor around to get the motor mounts all lined up, the engine and tranny are finally back in my car...

The pics look exactly the same as before it came out, so meh...

I gotta re-connect the million and one wiring harnesses and fill her with fluids still... more to come soon :)

03-28-2012, 08:43 PM
So today I started installing my supercharger. So far, I've gotten the belt tensioner assembly and powercard hooked up... pics to come.

Yesterday I got my horn button from Thailand - geez that took awhile to get here, I almost thought it wasn't coming for a little bit there...
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/mazdahornbutton.jpg

And today, while I was fiddling around with the charger, I needed to take a break. I fitted my wheel adaptors and shaved down my lug studs and BAM! Go-Kart status :D

WOOT! :P gettin closer to driveable...

Today, I re-installed the passenger's side serpentine belt and the radiator and the front sway bar...

Just waiting on a missing bracket from Track Dog Racing cause they forgot to send it with the supercharger, but Gary is awesome and a pleasure to deal with... I heard TDR was good people and I'm glad to say they really really are :)

looking at the above pic, i need to lower the front a hair... and possibly find someone to sell me an R-package lip for cheap :) I see them new on ebay for 80 bucks, I suppose that's cheap enough whenever I'm ready to nix the no-body-mods thing I've been sticking with.

awesome, so I've finished installing everything I have at my disposal except for my new top.

after a few weeks of work, the engine is reassembled, everything is plugged in and ready to go. I installed the supercharger and cut the crossover pipe to fit in a BOV, hooked up all the necessary vacuum hoses -thanks to cjsafski's advice and direction- to mimic his old setup. I also rearranged a bunch of wires, harnesses and my coolant reservoir to clean things up a bit. It's not much of a "tuck", but it looks noticeably cleaner to me and I like how it turned out.

The car won't start, I believe it's not getting spark. I made sure the fuel pump was working and all the vacuum hoses are secured, the plugs are all plugged in. the powercard is simply "piggybacked" onto the fuel injection system, so it's not like i disconnected anything i shouldn't have... hmm... idk. I'm thinking it's either the CAS or the ignition CoilPack...

Here is a picture montag of some of the progress, I wish I had covered more of the work and the ambition to work it into a story of a "build", but I'm just glad it's done and outta the way :)

thanks, though you all were right - the front wheels wouldn't turn so i had to fit the stock wheels back up front to drive it home...

i was very surprised cause i've done this with my wheels so many times, i suppose it's because i usually do 13" stickouts and these are 15's... so it looks like i gotta do something to the rear of my wheel wells, as that's where the only contact is made...

and i hope this vid embed works... the belts are squeaky and the timing still needs to be decreased. i might tighten up the BOV spring a little to up the PSI...

Tightening the BOV will not up the boost.

The only way to get more boost out of a SC is to spin it faster. Either it be a bigger crank pulley or bigger SC pulley.

imperfekt
04-12-2012, 08:30 PM
ahh, well, the BOV is constantly open right now, doesn't stop letting out air... i thought if i could tighten it, it'd at least be closed a little more, if not fully closed and up the pressure somewhat...

tonight was new top night. Kyle L swapped a set of tires for a roof for his miata (which is currently for sale!) to make it more appealing to buyers as not everyone has a place to store a topless car... then I swapped him my brand new black top and rain rail for the tan top he snagged (with glass rear window) and, with some large coffees set to work shortly after midnight.

didn't really think of taking pics until after the old top was out, lol... i don't really think much of my build thread while i'm in the spur of working...

when I woke up this morning... few hours past the top install... the mail fairy had delivered a package to me from JDMP which I have been expecting! I noticed it was out for delivery yesterday, but she never brought it so I was kinda miffed with USPS but meh...

A few weeks ago I bought a Garage Vary Nostalgic tail light conversion from RHDJapan. It arrived in about 3 weeks' time, and the time I spent waiting on its creation and shipment, I was scouring the web for the Porter lights and the Daihatsu reverse lamp, and finally (with much thanks to JDMPalace) he hooked me up with some new porters and his old reverse lamp.

Lol... thanks - well I spent most of today repairing and prepping my newly acquired front fenders. the lip of the wheel well was crunched by the guy i got them from, but I rebuilt it and primed it for now. I hate the way it looks rough around the wheel well arch, but the guy before me cut the lip off to simulate a "rolled fender" .... *smh* The one that wasn't damaged I prepped and laid a basecoat. it needs sanding and clear, then more sanding and rubbing compound... etc...

in the midst of repair...
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/09122012669.jpg

and primed.... again noting the imperfect arch, i gotta do something to fix that i think.
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/09122012670.jpg

and the undamaged basecoated one....

hopefully installed by next week.... we'll see :)

imperfekt

so I got the fenders all cleared and wet-sanded... installation was a pain but they're on there, a little more door gap than i would like but there's time for that later.

last night i installed rear fender flares and today i lowered and got her an alignment, -3 degrees rear camber, -2 degrees up front... i wanted to go more but it doesn't seem the stock adjustability of the equipment will let me :\ so here she stands for now.

it's much more functional than when the wheels poked, but honestly they still poke more than ideally and I'm not sure that any kind of fitment typically considered "stance" is obtainable with these wheels :\ we'll see what happens.

09-25-2012, 06:57 PM
The wheels are 15x8.25 zero offset. Apparently the camber adjustment bolts are maxed out, and more negative camber would only be possible with some kind of aftermarket adjustment kit. The camber was somewhere around -2.5 up front, but now is around 2.15 because they couldn't adjust the toe-in with the wheels tilted in that much - the machines weren't syncing or reading eachother because of the angle...

lol, i used to be a huge fan of poke, and still am. almost all of my previous cars had 13x7.5" -30 offset wheels that would poke a couple inches easily... it's always been one of my favorite styles, idk why...

I<3flippyheadlights
09-25-2012, 07:10 PM
Front Camber: -2.5 / -2.5
Front Caster: +5.6 / +6.2
Front Toe: 3/16" OUT
Rear Camber: -2.7/-2.7
Rear Toe: 1/8" IN

(Before my alignment I had 3.8 degrees of camber in the rear. Don't know why you're getting maxed out. Miatas don't need camber kits.)

Thats my specs
http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/o623/Iheartmiatas/My%20Green%20Miata%20and%20friends/DSC_0387.jpg

Thats on a 15x8 et 25 with a 205/50 tire. If I had your flares I would be sunk... no idea why you can't get these to fit. My friend runs a 15x8 et 0. I think a 195 or 205 tire. He doesn't poke either. I wonder if they 1/4 inch is making you poke?

so.... wiring... um - yeah, I've been working on that (whenever it's not raining, ugh) but today was a good day for it, no rain actually caught some sunburn...

pulled the dash to remove the last remnants of my A/C system, re-run some wires that I had put some poor effort into previously, re-run my vacuum hose to the megasquirt. Honestly, I had planned on pulling the wiring and fuse box from the passenger's side of the engine bay, through the firewall and relocating the fuse box to a spot under the dash in an effort to make my wire tuck that much more thorough -

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0427_zps88171875.jpg
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0428_zps4153d42f.jpg

this, however, was interrupted when I found that there's no place to put all the engine wiring through the firewall that wouldn't end up in the engine bay...

So I reinstalled the dash, made sure everything was wired much better and I was satisfied with everything behind the dash - as it was a pain to remove, then moved to the engine bay... I decided upon the same route as the driver's side, where I had used the airbag wiring grommet to snake the wires to the outside of the bay, because it is mostly hidden by the black box with relays under it and it looks very clean now that it's put back together...

I started cutting and running wires through the airbag grommet near the upper corner so that there is minimal view of any wiring, and also it will be almost completely hidden by the fuse box

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0429_zpsab25a24f.jpg

That is about where she sits at the end of the day... half of the wires are through the hole, I ran out of time before school to get all of them.

Here's a shot of her rear... finally starting to feel a little vintage!
I will be getting replacement quarterpanels in the near future and getting rid of the mini-flares ...she needs about a 3.5" drop, and maybe spacers lol

So, either I work slowly or I just don't have enough free time - I've been spending a bit of time in the engine bay, for such a mediocre excuse of a tuck it sure is time consuming; I can only imagine the amount of time some people with super-clean engine bays have spent on that endeavor!

It's kinda empty, but nothing spectacular - still a work in progess:

yup yup, it was a fun drive :)

i plan on cutting my stock headlight covers and welding them to the hood for that "rounded hood" look that people do, but honestly, I rarely use the hood while driving - in that pic it's not even bolted on, it's just sitting there :P

Is your hood steel? Because you're gonna have a bad time trying to weld lids to it if it is the stock aluminum one.

There is some vendor that sells a hood that deletes the headlight holes though. It is fiberglass so it's still really light.

still smoothing the bay... i work REEEAAALLLYYYYYYYY slow - actually just been putting in a lot of overtime at work lately :S ugh

good news is i've moved from fiberglass to bondo which means i'm in the final smoothing stages... the passenger's side is a bit closer than the drivers - in the pics is a light layer of primer just so i can tell where the rough spots are.

the pitcrew roadster - the brown one- with the dash mount mirror that i've been trying to figure out seems to be running a 65-67 Datsun dashmount...

http://www.datsunparts.com/1319

hmmm.... but I'm leaning more towards the 58 vette's dash mount though. it's about half the price and much easier to source;

http://image.corvettefever.com/f/26393857/corp_0908_04+1959_chevrolet_corvette+gauge_cluster .jpg

but it doesn't move side to side - like the datsun has a ball in the base to pivot in any direction. i also feel like the pivot ball is just another opportunity to lose alignment like if i hit a bump and all of a sudden can't see behind me lol

no, i'm just dissecting the car to paint it... because it won't be the same color as OEM, this will help me get into all the "hard to reach" areas, giving me a more thorough color-change... and also let me pay closer attention to each specific part being painted (as i'll be painting them separately)

lol, yes i suppose that's true - the rest of my life, or the rest of the car's life (which may be drastically shorter, lol)

anyways, I've been trying to churn out the work that needs to be done; working overnights the past several months means i sleep most of the daylight away and have a hard time making progress but hey... it's coming! lol

k, so we covered the almond roll bar and hardtop, check. since then i've been going to town on the bodywork to make the front clip nice and smooth.

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0413_zpse2e33f58.jpg

and as it sits right now, with a third spraypaint guidecoat - we'll soon see if any highs/lows remain! (i doubt there will be this time around ;) )

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0431_zps0c8eca13.jpg

aside from that, i've successfully installed my JDM side markers - however i've found the plugs are different from the original side markers! meh, more wiring to do....

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0401_zpsd1f2434c.jpg

and I'm working on making my hood one piece with the headlight covers a-la trackjunkies.org tutorial on how to make attached headlight covers!

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0432_zps27cf6771.jpg

aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, LOOK WHAT I FOUND AT WALMART!!!!!!!
http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0428_zps539d2a27.jpg

if any of you are wondering, it's the perfect size for the KG Works Type-D starter panel... oh wait, that's a secret ;)

and as a final note, my headlight visors had gotten a bit surface rusty, but I used the Flitz chrome polish kit (had on eBay for reasonable prices) which i used to polish my rims until i can get them re-chromed... i HIGHLY recommend the Flitz kit, it comes with a little polish ball and everything. i wish i had a 'before' pic, but here they are now, good as new :D

lol, I'm glad you like it and +1 on the Tsingson quote, although tan is somewhat fetching in a black car... Er, I'd rock tan for the sake of my brown exterior but I have other, brown and tan plaid plans for my interior

if you find one used that comes with the chrome bumpers and find you don't like the look of them lemme know cause I'm looking for some. I believe if you buy a new pitcrew you have to buy the bumpers separately? idk, but mine didn't come with the bumpers

lol, oh my! thanks WASABI. haha

so i figured out how to get my jdm side markers to work... i cut away most of the plastic sleeve thing that the plug clips into - leaving just the two prongs which are the same between the oval american ones on the front bumper and the round jdm ones behind the front wheels... anyways, here's my new-and-improved bulb/plug thing after i got done cutting it

http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r573/imperfekt_miata/Photo0454_001_zps710c3fc1.jpg

also, i sat down and decided to put my doors back together... i think they turned out very well - to make the 93LE speaker covers fit with my window cranks i had to use a hole-saw and bore some divots in them :S but hey, it works and you can't see the holes i bored because the cranks cover them up quite nicely.

still waiting on the rear bumper - I went ahead and got the shorty bumper from CarbonMiata on 5/13, as it's the final piece I felt I needed before repainting the car. 6/21 came and they said it should ship that week... and the week after... and the week after. Last week was 'tried to ship it yesterday but the shipping company said the box was too big, we'll try it again - they usually take it after one or two tries...' so........ still waiting.

k, so my bumper arrived yesterday. atank, it's okay - it's not flimsy or poorly constructed... aside from the wait, when i ordered it they asked if i would like the marker lights shaved or leave the spots for the markers like the OEM bumper, i asked for them shaved but they came anyway... nbd, i'm pretty good with fiberglass, so i already have them shaved. putting the bumper on tomorrow with any luck and off to the paint shop!

also, I had found this old thing while digging around my computer; so i uploaded it to youtube and here for you all from back when i got my gv tails:
