Tein Stech springs NA

Hello guys,

Im a uk member and ive noticed a couple of things when looking into the Tein Stech springs for an NA.

Some sites here in the UK mention spring rates of around 185lb/in F and 130lb/in rear

However sites in the US mention spring rates of 235 f and 174rear!

Were there 2 different variants?

If so..could people tell me what model number they have if some ones got some Stechs sitting around?

Are you sure you're not mixing them up with the H.Techs?

They are 235/168 for NA models (s tech). or 4.3/3k

Hey, i just got an email from Tein UK...amazingly got an email back within 18 hours!

Uk and US both got different spring rates.

Were they nice enough to give you part numbers? Just wondering as my gf has some on her mx5 and I'm not sure which ones she ended up with.

hey bud i just looked on the uk and us versions of Teins website...

From UK...for a NA6ce: SKM38-AVB00
From 949 racing in USA: SKM64-AUB00

The difference is very subtle..two numbers.

I also did some digging..it would appear on the basics and SS the spring rates for the uk are also slightly softer.

Huh. This is the first I've heard of them having different rates for different countries. Learn something new everyday.

yeh dude, took some digging...only really clicked when i saw USA sites mentioned the amount of drop and it seemed the uk sites quotes more of a drop..so i had to dig!

I was looking at Basics randomly to see if it was true and hey..you guys get 7/6 springs (f/r) and then here in the uk they are sold with 6/5 springs. .same with the SS.

This is probably a random bit of info..and ive not really helped anyone!lol!
