Looking for opinions on these mirrors I just installed. I was looking to do something different. I kind of like them and kind of don't. Maybe if they were white like the originals. I guess I'm just to use to the original power mirrors.
I got them from a British parts supplier in England. They sell them for M.G. and Triumph cars generally.

To be honest, their not bad looking. I wouldn't mind sporting it as long as it's a bolt-on affair. It's also a plus if it would increase my field of vision compared to the original side mirrors. A lot of after market side mirrors looks good but you can't really see anything out of it. It just depends on your taste. I prefer something round.

They're direct bolt on. I really can't dig them right now. I might have to splurge for some M2s.

They look juxtabosed IMO.

I like them. I don't love the base. The base is a little too square for the mostly round Miata. That being said, they are unique and give a retro vibe that fits with your car.

They look a little out of place to me. The miata's shape is quite organic, mostly circular. So, the somewhat pyramidlike, rectangular mirrors look a little off IMHO.

I actually think the mirrors look best in the current chrome/metal finish. But I also think that the mirrors are a little too square, but I think that's because of the overall size of the mirrors. If they were maybe 80% of the current size, I think the mirrors would look quite good. Reason I saw 80% is because My 1028-style mirrors have similar bases, but are a little smaller than your mirrors.

I have to give you credit though OP, for wanting to do something different. :)

I think they would look better if the bells were white and the bases were left as is.

I don't like them. Off to Craigslist.

I like them. It's a classic shape, and has a vintage look to it. What I really like about them is how the silver picks up the door handle and hard top bracket.

I like them too and this suggestion would finish them off well.

I might try painting them. I only have $60 invested total with shipping from UK. A UK poster on M.net commented that he only sees them over there on poverty MX-5s. I guess thats their word for ghetto. Lol!

Painting the housings white will soften the form. Leaving the bases shiny picks up the door handles, hard top feet and badges on the rear.

To each his own taste. Ok for retro look. How do you value the field of vision? I have a Runabout M2, function sucks IMO but then again I don't look they do lol. This is my second aftermarket mirrors, anything past OEM I guess you suffer function. Maybe I'm wrong or just getting too old.

Field of vision is important. That's why I tried something a little bigger than the M2. A club member has the S800s on his car. I'll try it out before dropping the coin on them. I like the bells on the ones I bought, I just don't like the long bases.
