The First 2014 Kmart Collectors Day event of the year is on February 15! Make sure you’re ready for it.

Not only are the events a fun time, but they’re also your best chance to get into specially-packed cases of vehicles — created just for the event – that include all-new special color editions and First-To-Market releases. For this event, here are some things to look for:

They closed most of the KMart stores in GA, but there is one that's about 25 minutes away. Last time I was through there they had a bunch of stuff, I don't think it gets hit by the collectors much. Definitely putting this on the calendar.

"Ghetto" is their brand. I know what you mean, they are two steps below Walmart around this area as well. That being said, maybe this is a golden opportunity to be the only one at HotWheels Day with all your teeth! :D

Our one Kmart here is on life support. It's an old building with an empty parking lot except for employees' cars. Every time I go there, I'm surprised they're still open.

I just bought a case. I think. I'm unsure due to the cryptic message the cart gave me after I paid. But I got a paypal receipt in my email.

About 20 people showed up to my store in all, twelve 36-car cases. My wife and I each scored a case, I got two Loop Coupe THs, got a couple of the special color cars too. Pretty fun, everyone that came seemed kinda let down there were no Supers at all.

Awww man, that's kind of you! But no, not that important. I wanted the experience of getting a ticket and opening my own box along with the competition for cool new HW.

I did end up having a good Egg McMuffin and coffee though and it's a cool, sunny morning for a drive so what the heck.

Only 1 master case at my store, :angry: so 4 mini 36 count cases and 10 people. There was a big family that showed up and won the raffle 3X's so they got 3 out of the 4 cases and didn't share a single case. LAME!!!

However being noobie scalpers they didn't know what the regular Hunt was and left 2 behind :teehee: So I got 2 Regular hunts that my kids now have already opened and using on their HW track sets. Some nice Exclusive colors, no Super Hunts. I got some of the White BMW M3, Yellow Toyota 2000 GT, Purple Ford Falcon, and Blue Datsun Pickup truck. The rest kinda looked like peg warmers to me, so left them all. I will hit another Kmart this week to get the 20-for-1 mil-in promotion car.

Agent Orange you have to check that Kmart list on the first post of participating stores because not all Kmart stores order the cases.

+1. There was a table setup with 2 big tote bins. Inside the bins were about 20 each HW cars from 2012. No kidding. There was a red Mad Manga. There was a blue riced out RX-7 from 2012. They even had some Boulevard cars (undesirable ones) on the pegs.

No one else was there. A dude with a floor buffer terrified my daughter and she begged to leave. We left empty handed.

The only TH there was a few Loop Coupes, I grabbed one, he got the rest. And that's all he was interested in. Nice old guy, took my number for trading. Also, no Supers at all. Otherwise, I had pick of the litter. I got all of the regular cars I cared to have, except for the yellow 2000 GT, which there was none of at all.

If he ONLY took the Treasure Hunts he is a Flea Market scalper, or Ebay seller, a collector would never pass up exclusive color variations like the Blue Datsun or the White BMW.

Yup^^^. There were a few people this morning talking about selling, one lady bragging about how well she's done selling them. Funny part, her ticket number didn't get called.
But now I've met the local competition and know why I can't find much based on what I saw and heard. Two of the guys were the same guys I saw camped out at Walmart during the ammo shortage, definitely scalpers.

Revlimiter I just hit 2 Kmarts on the way to work this morning, ZERO of the blue Datsuns left. I have 2 more Kmarts I can hit on the way home, but I think the scaplers will beat me to them. Also got a speeding ticket on the way to work, aint that a bitch LOL.
