I figured i'd post this since a lot people ask where to get Toyo T1r's and etc
(*obviously not for track use*)

i bought mine in October from this site http://www.performanceplustire.com/
Spoke with Yolanda and she got them from Toyo for me for $83 a tire. (free Freight Shipping)

A lot of places I called said that this tire was discontinued (I have no knowledge whether that is true) but I was able to get new ones without any problems.

I ordered the sometime late October and got them at the end of the first week November

after Euro-Wise in Charlotte, NC mounted them

Overall they feel great. They grip pretty well and are for the most part pretty quiet. I've owned other Toyo tires and usually were pretty noisy. These tires stretch great if you are into that style. I like the style and it also helped me clear the fender well, but i'm happy with the tire and the place i bought it from.

Any questions, comments or anything let me know

What kind of driving do you do ?
Any track time with those ?

I'm going to guess with that stretch, no track time. That wouldn't pass tech inspection around here, at least.

That's why I asked.
If this is a tire review we might as well find out if this tire is used for anything more than rolling down the street very slowly and in a straight line.
A Walmart tire would also do just fine with that.

edited not for track use.

and as to your comment Boris I drive the speed limit fine on highways with no problem. If you don't like then you can hate somewhere else perhaps.

He was asking what sort of driving you do... We have no context as to what the tire is used for, which would add to the review, that's all. No "hate."

(Is that a record though? Stretched tire.... the word "hate" being used within 3 posts directly afterwards? I think that's a record.)

haha fair enough guys, i have different wheels and tires that "fit" for when i do decide to try tracking the car. But i was just giving a basic review for regular street driving. So my bad, definitely not trying to piss anyone off here

I have 205-50 T1Rs and I love them. Its a tire I would buy again. Since I'll be lower relatively soon, I'll be in the market for tires with less sidewall and keeping my 6.5" wide wheels so that's a good find, thanks! And I'm sure they're light as hell. My 205's are 15lbs so I'm sure these are closer to 14, another plus for me

These are great 3-season tires for many of us. The sidewalls are pretty soft, which is a plus if you like a comfy street ride. My tire installing buddy commented on how easy they were to mount n balance.
FWIW, I have them in 195-55-14. Very nice street manners.

The T1R's love to stretch. Popular in the world of slammed rides and extreme dumb fitments. Its good to see some else has the discontinued 14'' size. I got a set in storage. Hopefully toyo will be smart and make a successor to the T1R.

They did. Theyre calling it the Proxes T1 Sport. The T1Sport is an asymmetrical tire, rounded shoulder, probably wont be as good for what we use the T1R for nowadays. The new T1 is actually coming OE on the Audi RS5, S6 and TTS.

The T1R was discontinued in about 90% of the sizes they made it it, but they made it in some wierd ass sizes as we all know. Those weird sizes ARE staying in the T1R.

I actually have the crossover sheet in front of me here at work. The T1R sizes that are staying current include:

1954514 part #245800
1955514 part #245620
1855515 part #245630
1954515 part #245810
1955015 part #245700
2055015 part #245710
2055515 part #245660
1955516 part #246700

...among other 25/30/35 series 17/18/19/20/21 and 22 " stuff. I just got a couple sets of 1954515s in actually.

I work for one the the largest Toyo wholesalers in the US so this is more than internet hearsay. :P

They were great when I had them on my ride (no track time). They were quiet, grippy, and looked great. Still have the set but I've switched to Yokohama S Drives. I like them a little better and. The car felt more stable with the Yoko's. But I have no real complaints about the T1R.
