I will be at the Fontana for Miatas at The Gap on July 25-27. I am getting a consensus to see who else might be there and arrange a gathering/drive or two. Maybe something more!

If you are going to be there, post up when and where you will be, a shot of your car will be helpful too!

There are a number of places. The Fontana Resort is one. Check for hotels/motels in Robbinsville, Stecoah, etc.

The problem is that I'm 17. Don't think I can check into a hotel when I'm not even a legal adult. Would my parents make the reservation and then be able to check in. That is why I'm on the camping side of things so I don't have deal with policies

There should be campgrounds all over the place in the Nantahala and Cherokee national forests.

The other option, and that is another reason for this thread, is to find somebody with extra room and offer to chip in on their lodging for space on the floor or a sofa. :)

I would love that and chip in with some money but do you have to make reservations for the campsite or what

I'd love to go, but at this point I'd have to hope someone would have some spare space that I could crash in (pay my way of course). After the comic convention in Charlotte, paying for a motel/hotel ain't really an option. And to hell with camping, not an outdoors person at all.

I will at least plan for next year. I've had so many opportunities, but never the time, to drive the Dragon and surrounding roads.

Starting the new jerb. Gonna be piss-poor until the paychecks start rolling in.

Friday evening is the "CR" run. Its a bunch of us from CR who actually don't like the place we just use their bathrooms and hang out in the lobby. 2 years ago we just did the dragon, last year we went out over cherohola and liked that so doing it again this year.

Thanks to KFJ, it looks like I'll be there as well. Really looking forward to this.

Yay. Jamieh will be there. I am curious to know how my old shift knob looks in his vintage esque roadster.

Actually, you won't. The one I got from you is stashed away. The one I'm running is somewhere in the middle of the two as far as shade. The knob I traded you was the 1st one I had. Not too keen on how light it was I found another that was a better match to my steering wheel and a little darker. So the I had the one you have now stashed away for at least a year or 2.

Knowing how much better a matching knob looks, I knew I had to help ya out.

If I had a spare, I'd send it your way.
