I live in an inspection state and i was failed for the airbag light. Will this circuit allow the light to illuminate for a few seconds then go off? Or does this just make the light not light up and no beeping?

If you are in an inspection state don't they look for the actual airbag wheel itself?? Where do you live by the way?

No they dont, they only care about the light lighting up and then turning off. I had painted the bulb and filter black, but last night i deconstructed my gauge pod and removed the faces and removed the filter.... New bulb, amazingly got it all back together. I am just wondering if the airbag fix will allow the light to light up then go off. Just need to fool the computer into thinking the bag is there. Im in VA, usually i can get it inspected no problem on my 1.6 and 1.8 but apparently they are cracking down

Do you have an na6 or na8? On my na6 the light comes on as normal and then turns off after a second or two. Car thinks it is working as usual.

My airbag defeat never actually worked and my light just blinks forever :(

NA6 airbags never worked anyhow, that is why Mazda North America had a Class Action Lawsuit filed against them back in the late 1990's :teehee:


on the NA8 Mazda had a recall on the passenger side airbags and they would go off from even minor impacts

a local friends girlfriend at the time got beat up pretty bad from a low speed accident when both bags deployed.

Ive got the dash apart now this is an na8 and looks like PO cut the airbag harness.... If i can get it plugged in the light will go off. Any advice on where the leads come from? Or are they wired directly i to the clockspring?
