Has anyone used this on a 1.6? I am doing the rx7 flowmeter upgrade, and i was looking for intake tube options and found this. Everyone knows on a 1.6 not to remove the square resonator, because its good for around 4-5 midrange hp, but they have removed it and i need to replace my tube assembly, i was thinking of giving it a shot. Anyones got pics? Teatimonials/experience with this would be greatly appreciated

Do you have a fully programmable ECU?

If yes, go make a 19-23" intake that wraps around to the cold side of the engine bay. Go to siliconeintakes.com and get some silicone elbows and some aluminum pipe.
If no, it's not going to do anything because you're on the stock ECU.

I have a stock ecu, and still need to retain the airflowmeter. My stock pipe has broken at the connection between the flex pipe and the resonater box, and replacing it with stock is almost as expensive as the weapon r tube. I actually just ordered it so i figure ill give it a shot, the reasonator box apparently adds 5hp in the midrange, but im wiling to tey it out without it

The rx7 unit came out of the car, i cant stand the rough idle, and was running very rich. I also dont have the patience to fiddle with the spring settings on the internals of the box, so eventually it will be going on ebay

It won't do anything, but its your money to waste.

Well i need a new tube because like i said mine is broken. The car has a shaved head and bolt ons with advanced timing, so i really just need something that seals

Id like to replace it with the stock tubing in good shape but i cant find it anywhere for less than like 80-100$

I have a stock airbox that came off of a 94 if you want it.

Thanks but i dont think i can use the 94 since it has a maf and not a airflowmeter, once i get 50 posts and access to the equipment exchange i might do that. I only really drive the car to events, so im considering a standalone ecu and just scrapping all the intake sensor bs.
