nrg hub install

I have on order a nrg hub. I have in hand a quick release and a momo steering wheel I am installing it this weekend. I have read where people have used their clockspring and did away with nrg horn ring. Can anyone give a better explanation of how its done. I can only find where people say they have done it but no details.this is for a 1993 na miata and yes I will be removing the stitching from my seatbelt as well.

I left my clockspring in. I also had a ring thingy come with my boss kit and didnt use it. I dont even know how you would use it if you wanted to. My horn stays in fine.
