I didn’t even realize it was your car until I saw you standing next to it later in the day. Had I realized it earlier I would have gotten more shots! Next time!

Thanks for saying hello. :|
Kinda wished I had bought larger roundels now. ;)
It was great to see Jzilla back in a Miata again (the red NA I posted a little earlier).
As many troubles and flaws the car has, he was grinning ear-to-ear and I haven't seen him out on the track that much at one of his own events in a long time. He was so excited, he kept messaging me the week leading up to the event about it.
He even got a parade lap in during lunch with his 3 y.o. son, who absolutely loves cars. It was really fantastic. :)
Nice!
Reoccurring p0455 code, massive evap leak or something. Stage 1, tested the evap solenoid in the engine bay. Not really conclusive, but replaced it and the charcoal canister anyways.
We’ll see if it helps, I have doubts.
If not, Stage 2 will be the purge solenoid in the rear, under the car, gas cap, hoses.
Stage 3 will be the diaphragm valve (?) on top of the tank.

Most likely that purge valve, from my experience. I remember the job being more annoying than difficult.
I thought so too. Doesn’t look too difficult to get at. I’ll look at it when I pull the diff.
Hybrid engine mounts arrived from 949Racing:

The first pic also shows the Energy differential bushings I need to install.
The engine, PPF, and diff are flopping quite a bit. Need to get these in soon.
Other parts in the background are the cooling system parts for the wagon.
So, a nice little surprise to using the NB2 instrument cluster in my NB1...a working low-fuel warning light! :D

I have read a lot of people completely forgetting this when swapping clusters.
I remember reading about it, but the results were inconsistent. I guess this is an '04 or '05 cluster. It surprised me when it came on, I thought something serious was wrong. lol! I was on my way to get fuel anyways, it seems it comes on when I have about 2-3 gallons left.
Nice! Assume it just "reads" from the gauge then?
I remember that jewel from back in the day. When I replaced my gauges to digital, I think I had to use a Ford or GM sender in order to get an accurate fuel-level reading.
