coilovers..so many choices

So my exhaust and intake parts have arrived and soon will be installed. On to coil overs which is a much more difficult choice to make. I'll go as much as 1500 BUT it maybe overkill for my needs and I've never bought these before so could use some help. What I'm going for is the best combination of firm but comfortable for spirited weekend driving on roads that range from silky smooth to "how could anybody consider this a road for daily driving" we've all been on them. Yes I want to drop the car slightly 1-1.5 inches on a 15x8 rim no slamming here. Would like them to have a wide range of damper adjustment But honestly once I find that "sweet spot" may never change them again. In other words no plan to track this car. I what quality that wont have to rebought or rebuilt for at least 25000 miles of daily driving (if thats possible). So anybody want to weigh in on this subject for the 1000th time? Thanks in advance.

I can't attest to coilovers, but I can say the FM2.5 kit is very well rounded. I have the version with Tokico Illumina's that was held in such high regard on my BRG. It rides well, stiffened the car considerably for spirited driving, but isn't bone-jarring or rough.

That said, it does lower the car a bit, and I do scrape now. I'm considering the XL Xida setup for my other car, which currently has factory Bilstein's. It's big money, but I've yet to read a bad review.

LOTS of detailed write ups there :D

I’m not sure you want coilovers for your application, but probably springs with revalved shocks.

I think you may want to look at some options from Fatcat. It probably won’t address your damping adjustability, but it will appeal to your streetability preferences. One system for all roads is a tough ask, so maybe linear springs with custom valved, maybe elongated stroke may check the most boxes?

Which version of MeisterR do you compare the Fox to?
Do you compare a sub 1k setup to a 2k setup?
If there is no difference FM would have failed miserly.

Thanks for that review. I just scored a lightly used FM 2.5 kit but haven't installed it yet. I wanna come "some lower" but not low, and height is of secondary importance to driving on Ohio roads. Sounds like it is just about what I needed.
