ARC Air Box -- with MAF delete mod!
What sets this apart from the already-rare ARC Air Boxes you see out there is that it's already modded for an MAF delete, with a correct aluminum pipe welded to the box. The welds are not that pretty but they are strong and could easily be cleaned up with a Dremel. Of course, if you don't want to delete your MAF, the pipe is easy enough to cut off, but otherwise, this saves you some effort. There is also a hole (currently plugged) which I assume was meant for a IAT. I cleaned it up a bit, but it could use a bit more polishing. Personally, I would just have it powder coated. No dents! It is missing 1 of the 3 brackets that secures it to the car. It will work without it, or one could be fabricated pretty easily.
You can now get the proper ARC air filters (the only ones that fit perfectly) for this on eBay for about $120. And stickers, too if you want to fully restore it!
As far as I know, this fits NA8 only. And if you have an ARC Chamber, mounting this will help align the chamber properly so it is less likely to get all banged-up as so many of them are.
I also bought all-new stainless hardware that I'll include.
