I read this thread and wonder why you guys are having so much trouble. I just removed my factory hoses at 180k and all I needed was an angled pick.
I bought a radiator from eBay for $62 shipped. It is made by AEON and appears to be oem type quality. Anything more than an OE replacement for a stock motor is over kill.

He was an older guy. It looks like it's one of the ones out of the monster miata shop here on Southern California. The intake was routed down in there. He said it makes 390 or so hp if I remember...

I think the Federals are great value for money. In my opinion they are near the level of star specs AD08 etc. although they can get kind of greasy on hot days on a track, but for a UHP street tire...
