Can't find stereo mount for 2000

Right now my head unit is hanging because it has nothing to hold it in place. It came with the normal sleeve but what do I attach the sleeve to? I've looked tirelessly for mounts but I've only found the plastic trim and odd parts that dont look right. The previous owner had an aftermarket stereo (broken) in there with a double din frame with two holes, one containing a pocket bin and the old stereo was just hanging. I bought a new one and I want a sturdy legit mount so it stays still for those 1.3g turns.

Cross, if I understand what you're asking, the metal sleeve slips into the plastic trim piece and then you bend the "tabs" of the metal sleeve up to hold the frame onto the trim piece. If that sounds like what you need, check the link below and scroll to step "install new stereo".

Yea I would go with roadstertech mount because it removes the radio off the tombstone and mounts it to the dash behind the tombstone. Its worth the money. If you havent done anything by the next time we have a meet I can show you mine and its super sturdy.

The problem is that nothing holds the trim piece in place and it weighs nothing.

Our NB System is designed to lock your DIN mount radio sleeve in place on the NB's dash. This is a bit different than the NA's Rack system that JBLMX5 has, but the end result is just as sturdy. You will see that we have these units machined out of a thick sandwich of HDPE. It is extremely ridged and is the same material used in high dollar marine applications and custom boat dash boards.

You can choose to use a blanking plate with the Radio or a gauge plate. The plates make the extra lip that is required to lock the radio sleeve in place. Tie that in with the Radio mount with the custom trim bezel and you have a very nice package.

Here is a link to the NB blanking plates:

    Here is the Radio Mount:

One thing to note, Our blanking plates and Gauge plates now have machined in mounting tabs. This is significantly more ridged than the stainless steel design. (I haven't had time to change the web site)

Sweet, I'm sold. I just don't know if I will have to modify the trim I have.

If you are talking about the dash trim. that the carbon fiber looking trim in the picture above, no. We designed the blanking plates, gauge plates and radio mounts to work around the constraints of the dash.

If you are talking about the radio trim bezel, use ours. We custom make them to fit you radio and match up with the dash to make a very nice coherent layout that just looks right.
