    Dare I say, that I really like what I see in these pictures. I looks like there might have been some Italian design influences, as part of Mazda/Fiat collaboration...which I approve. CAN'T WAIT FOR TONIGHT!

    From the back it looks like a combination of a Z4, FRS and SKY.

    You have that the other way around. The chassis was already developed and then offered to Fiat. Mazda added some pretty established designers and a new North American AND Japanese design chiefs around '08-10. The NA chief is Derek Jenkins, who worked at VAG and penned the A2, A8, and Scirocco. The Japanese chief, Ikuo Maeda, is a second-gen Mazda Designer. He penned the RX-8, his father penned the original RX-7. Coincidentally, Mazda also hired a new design chief for Europe last month. It is Kevin Rice, who previously worked for Mazda and worked on the Rx-8 and Mazda 2 design before going to BMW. There, he worked the new BMW 3 and 4 series designs before Mazda brought him back to the fold this year.
