Garage Woolery GV tail light rings...Round 2

So there's been interest from people who want me to do another round of Garage Woolery tail light rings for the Garage Vary nostalgic tail light kit. Since there's been interest in me making at least 20 sets, I approached the shop that made the first run and asked for pricing on another run.

The good news is that he can do it. The bad news is that he deleted all the previous design files and threw away the custom jigs used for the original run. This means that there will be very little, if any, cost savings over the first run since we'll be "starting from scratch" and will have to resort to using my set as a template for the new run.

To prevent any of the issues we had with the original run due to the polishing process, I'm going to eliminate the polishing option/step with this new run and instead offer the rings in one of two finishes: machine finish or chrome plated (at additional cost, yet to be determined).

-Estimated price for the machine finish trim rings will be ~$250 per set +shipping

-GUESStimated price for the chrome plated finish trim rings will be ~$350 per set +shipping. This price may vary, as I have yet to get pricing from the chrome shop.

I will update this post with better pricing information as I find out more about the chrome plating costs.

If you are still interested in participating in this group buy, please add your full name, username, and desired finish for your trim rings to the list below. Once we get at least 20 people participating in the group buy, we'll start the payment process and production run of the rings.

Note to mods: As with the first run of trim rings, this is a not a for profit venture, and does not step on the any paying forum sponsors' toes. Thanks!

Re: Garage Woolery GV tail light rings...Round 2

I really wouldn't mind offering my shop up to sell these. I don't need to make a single dollar or even ever be involved beyond a "retail outlet." I truly wouldn't want anything other than to help.

    Just an offer.
