The car also has a salvage title in it's history. Let the potential buyer beware.

I hate when people try to scam a sale. If it's has a salvage title then just say so.

That has yet to be disclosed by the last two owners, but that fact remains, the car has a salvage title history.

PS: Looks can be deceiving, what you cannot see in the pictures is another reason why the current seller has not disclosed the salvage history.

I don't see anywhere that is shows as a salvaged title? Where do you see that info? Also if this is in Ellenton, FL that is only 45 mines from my house.

Should we start with both fenders missing their VIN tags, then again, did you ask the seller for the VIN and run it? If you do, you'll be quite surprised. No bumper decal either...In July of 2013 the seller was asking $9,000 for it, showed 240 miles on it then. Same car...

    Seller at that time:
C Blackburn (owner of the Blackburn Body Shop)
    4 Junction St E
    Maxwell, Indiana 46154

    Seller now:
    Lois Kano
    N View Dr
    Sarasota, Florida

Go ahead, ask for the VIN.

Might I add that this very car was mentioned in post #46 of this thread on this very forum back in August of 2013

mrmustang is the man when it comes to knowing about the details of what appear to be lust worthy condition Miatas. If there is a low mileage primo condition Miata for sale anywhere in the USA, mrmustang has probably already given it at least a tertiary review before you even become aware of it . . . or he's bought it already. I have followed mrmustang and the other regular mnet boys in the "Pricing and Dealer Discussion" thread for years, albeit usually from a distance.

The information they posted was very helpful to me in acquiring 93LE #961. That reminds me, we need to get Greg 713 to pop in here once in awhile. He physically inspected my car for me before purchase. I can't thank him enough for his help. Moderators are allowed to visit other forums (at least ours are). Frank Reiss (medition) pops in here now and then.

I've slowed down my buying to resell (only three this past year) mindset. Instead focusing on our recents 600+ mile move southwards and getting the house turned in to a home. I do however track more than a few sub 60K Miatas and other various vintage convertibles. This one has been through three owners in the last year and a half, each one attempting to hide the salvage history of the car, even when confronted with the lack of VIN tags and such on the entire front end, or the used steering wheel (look at the wear on the drivers side 10 O'clock position for starters) and replaced air bag and associated module for same. There is quite a bit more on this car, but I would hate to give it all away to the next owner, who just might be savvy enough to come on to these forums.......

Also, there are plenty of others who have tracked this car more than I ever will, they are just not on this particular forum.

In the pictures it appears that the VIN is JM1NA3519L0120423. If you carfax the car, it warns you of possible title washing. You can google the VIN for more details. ;)

Don't know, from the sheetmetal & mechanical replacement, we can only assume that it was hit in the front very early on in it's life. Airbag deployment clearly happened, hence the steering wheel (easily deformed in an accident) replacement.

Ugh, I wish sellers were more honest. I managed to pick up a 91 with 13k about 5 years ago...and I only believed the mileage due to some mildew and a top replacement, and obvious detailing effort due to it sitting somewhere for so long. For reference, I paid $5k for it at the time.
