Lowered on coilovers. How do I remove negative camber?

My 1990 is pretty low on raceland ultimo coilovers. 15x7 205-50-r15. I aligned it and was only able to get the rear to -3 camber. I'm wondering if I need to buy camber bolts or plates or whatever to fix this. I ultimately want to have a low stance (not slammed) without this negative camber. Also, what are specs for a good handling miata, I hear that factory specs are what you need to aim for but what are other people running for good handling? Thanks!

I use the Flying Miata specs for alignment.

    Front
    Caster: 5.0 degrees
    Camber: 1.0 degrees negative
    Toe-in: 1/16", 0.15° or 9 arcminutes total (1/32", 0.075° or 4.5 minutes per side)

    Rear
    Camber: 1.5 degrees negative
    Toe-in: 1/16", 0.15° or 9 arcminutes total (1/32", 0.075° or 4.5 minutes per side)

    Others prefer the Lanny specs.

    Rear
Toe: 1/32 inch (0°4.5' or 0.075°) IN per side
    Camber: -1.75 degrees

    Front
    Camber: -1.2 degrees
    Caster: 5.0 degrees
Toe: 1/32 inch IN per side

Stock specs are very general in nature and not something most go by.

In the nicest way possible, stop buying crappy parts. If you want to stay that low and keep decent camber, buy some custom rear control arms.

How low are you and what are your current alignment specs F&R?

It *could* be your eccentrics are stretched and need to be replaced, but know the answers to the aforementioned questions will help!

My car had those on them when I bought it but regardless I really don't consider them "crap". Besides the brand of coilovers on the car have nothing to do with the problem I'm having. Thanks for taking the time to leave the rude comment though.

If they are coil overs just raise them back up. If you want some low low with go go try around 11 to 12 inches in ride height from top of the fender to center of your wheel.

I don't think there's a certain spec for best handling. I think the setup should come down to what your comfortable with and what type of driving you want to setup the suspension for, like autoX or HPDE. For me, I like the OEM suspension near FM alignment specs when it comes to driving on bumpy back roads. The extra suspension travel help soak up the bumps, plus stock setup is very forgiving.

Next week I will be transitioning from stock springs to FM springs w/ Billies using FCM 36mm bump stops and will have my Bilsteins re-valve to match my FM springs through FCM in the future. In addition, I will be using FM alignment specs. That should keep me happy for a while since my Miata will mostly be for back-roads & track duty.

I don't know what you want out of your suspension but you should consult with FM,949, or Fat Cat Motorsports if you want to customize your suspension setup to tailor your needs.

If you want less negative camber while staying low you need adjustable or extended upper control arms
