I've had several questions about the RoadsterTech Rack System and I realized that I never really showed it so you could see the entire thing.
So here we go...
This is a Radio mount with a blanking plate mounted to the rails.
The rails are laser cut stainless steel and are formed via a proprietary bending jig we have at RoadsterTech.
As you can see its designed to use the standard DIN Sleeve.
The sleeve is held in place between a lip machined into the blanking plate and the bottom cross rail. It then locks onto the rails
Here is a shot of the bottom cross rail
What does the blanking plate look like from the back?
As you can see we've even take the extra effort to remove extra weight from the blanking plate.
Here is the way we can nicely fit a radio into the standard NA6 and early NA8 Tombstones.
Our bespoke Radio Trim Bezels. These are machined to match your Radio's face plate.
Of final note the trim bezel is mounted to the radio via magnets. These are designed to automatically align your trim bezel to the sleeve and hold it there. These have even been track tested.
So how does it look in a tombstone?
The Rack system is available with Gauge Mounts, sized to use a Miata Cubby and next year will have a switch plate option. You can also get a full sized plate for gauges / switches if you wish.
Yes we also sell the AC controller blanking plate as well.
