Driving Roads - The best of the Southeast

I saw this posted in the SoCal and NorCal forums. I think we've got the best roads in the country. Here's a couple - post yours!

US 421 "The Snake" - Mountain City, TN to South Holston Lake. 14 miles.
US 221 - Blowing Rock, NC to Linville, NC. 18 miles.
Shull's Mill Road - Boone, NC to Blowing Rock, NC. 7 miles.

Pine Mountain Highway 190, west Georgia in Pine Mountain and Warm Springs. At the top of the ridge is a country store that makes a damn good hamburger.

How long does it go? I might have to check that out.

Old Ford Road - Fairburn, GA - ~1.5 miles. Not much on miles but it's pretty good

"The Loop" 6.6 miles. Our private test track about 5 miles from my house. This video shows the upper part of the road in winter (and the cars in winter trim/tires) after a storm had washed dirt onto the road.

Only times leaving the lane were when I had to, to avoid dirt and dogs... the same dirt that caused the moment for the Z

Highway 218 from mint hill to about wadesboro, most of it is 55 with plenty of turns and good "country" views. It has little State Trooper activity and a shortcut to the coastal area from US-74's traffic lights

Bat Cave Rd - NC9 Old Fort NC to Black Mountain NC
Bat Cave road is made up of great twisties, and Hwy 9 is very driftable. You have to watch for the SHP on Hwy 9, though.

It is a nice stretch, I went for a drive a couple of weekends back and found myself seeking that road. On the way there I took the Sardis Church rd that turns into Unionville/Indian trail road that leads to 601. That small stretch is fun cause of the elevation changes but I seem to always get behind someone going abit slower that I'd prefer. Have to watch out for cops of course.

I plan to take a weekend and do the whole Blue ridge drive or atleast the NC part. I came across lots of nice driving roads on my first trip to The Breaks Interstate Park thats on the border of Kent/Va.
