Found these from checking a few Wal-Marts in the RDU area.

Flipped my lid when I finally saw Retro series car that weren't from the early '13 batches.

Also, my daughter has been wanting a model train set for a while. Had to decide between the Hogwarts Express or one of the Thomas train sets. She decided on the Thomas set so that's a new hobby to get into.

Nice finds! The roadster was a ZAMAC before they were called ZAMAC and the Ferrari was hard to find and I think that was the only year they made that version as it's so small it's a choke hazard to kids. So you won't see that on the blue cards ever again.

PS I want Hogwarts train for myself!! Lol

I'm glad that I bought them then. And my daughter doesn't know it, but I will be buying the Hogwarts Express for her at Christmas.

Here is neat Batman variation, this casting actually was first released under the Matchbox label a couple years ago.

Now it has crossed over into the Hot Wheels brand name.

    Stuff like this rarely happens.

Finally, I have something to post in here! lol But I've cut wayyy back on hunting lately.
I found out that a Walmart Neighborhood Market was being built about 25 minutes away from me and that today was their grand opening. So after work I took a quick drive down there and found that the Hot Wheels had been untouched. All 72 E-case cars still hanging on the pegs. One of the managers was walking by so I asked her if there were any others in the store (as sometimes they'll put a small bin up near customer service or past the registers at the NMs) but she said they only got the single case for their opening. No worries, I am quite pleased with the haul. The Mustangs and McLarens are sweet in person! I hope to find the Mustang Super somewhere now after seeing the mainline.

No Supers, the VW is the RegTH:

I'm still waiting for my Walmart to put out their bin, I found out they have one via the Telxon. But since they've had it for about a week and it hasn't been put out yet it makes me think it might be marked with a future week's label and that it's an E case bin, which means we missed D case here. Just waiting patiently to see...

On another note, I traded a few cars and am now down to missing only one Veyron to complete the mainline releases, the Gray/Blue with 10SP wheels:

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

That's funny because I've also cut way back since there has been nothing. There's an old Publix that turned into a furniture store for the past several years that suddenly I see it is a WalMart neighborhood grocery as I drove past tonight!

Going to check it out for HW and also swing by Target for the first time in a month.

Dug out this older Puerto Rico Exclusive to show a new collector. These came out in 1999 iirc. You could only buy them in PR but lucky for me one of my buddies was from there and picked several up for me back then.

Happens to be one of my favorite castings too. The "TailDragger"

Never know... Might be some there from the 50s. All they need is Internet access.

Here's my comic shop haul from somewhere in last November. It was pretty epic. I got all of these for $35. While that sounds like a deal, it's very much not. The comic shop closed and this was the bone picking from a going out of business sale. I'd much rather not have these cars and just be able to visit that shop every weekend.

You were awesome, Kaboom Comics. I'll miss you.

About half of these now reside with Eric.

Who has been extremely lazy and not taken pictures of them in order to thank a certain someone for one helluva mailbox find.

wow that is a great score!! Those classics series were a hot item back in the day. All metal top and bottom and nice wheels too. They did several "Chase" cars in that series too! The Classics cost about $4 or $5 each when new, it was in their premium line. I have a TON of extras if you ever want to trade. Looks like there is an Olds 442 Treasure hunt in there too?
