Alloy Catch Can for IRTB - SOLD

    Alloy Catch Can for IRTB

Custom fabricated aluminum alloy catch can for NA and NB Mazda Miata equipped with Individual Runner Throttle Bodies (IRTB). Fits on the metal shelf in the engine compartment in place of the stock airbox and captures oil vapors from the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system.

    Dimensions are 4" x 4" x 6.25".

Main body is made of extruded 6063 architectural aluminum 1/8" wall thickness. End caps are made of 6061 multipurpose aluminum each 1/8" thick. Top notch TIG welded construction. No pot scrubbers or oil/vapor separators inside to break down and get sucked into your engine. Lightly brushed exterior finish.

Includes three (3) straight hose fittings made of chrome plated brass, 3/8 in. hose barb on one end, 1/4 in. NPT on the other. Also includes one (1) K&N breather filter.

I made two of these, one for myself and one to sell in order to help amortize the fabrication costs. Similar to the catch can from Chikara Motorsports (see exemplar picture showing Quinn's beautiful NB) but made of heavier gauge materials. Can be secured in place using a variety of methods that are up to you, the buyer, to determine based on your own personal preference. I recommend using industrial strength Velcro on the bottom for a super clean look. If you need positive retention, you can make a simple tie down bracket.

Shipping only to USA customers via USPS Priority Flat Rate Box.

    List Date: 1/26/2015

I think that photo is just showing how it would "look" installed, Kyle's Miata is a Red NA, not the one pictured above.

However I would still like to see a build thread since I KNOW he has a lot of cool and rare parts for his NA.

    Sold. Thanks John.

Instead of a build thread I'm just going to sprinkle in some teaser shots every now and again. Once it's done up to my satisfaction I'll reveal it in all its glory
