Sorry I bailed on C&C this morning. I had to stay at the shop to have a windshield installed.
It's coo. Tim and I left around 9-930. It was hot. Pretty much the same cars over and over again. But I haven't been out in a while so it was nice.
Tomorrow morning im headed out to va to look at and if i like it purchase a hardtop.its a nice green top so it will be getting painted but since my miata is a custom color no top would match it anyways.

Got up this morning and drove to va. Got there looked at the top for about a minute and bam. Its a snugtop not an oem top. His listing said oem and when i talked to him lastnight I told him about a stamp in middle of hardtop under window is the easiest way to tell if its oem or not and he told me it was oem. When i got there and told him it was not and pointed out the cheap latches and snugtop sticker he said well his brother told him it was oem. Oh well i drove home topless .

What's wrong with a snugtop
The latches were cheaply made. I read a bunch of reviews that said the windows when going up and down can catch on the top. And the domelight on the top gets hung up on my rollbar. And last he wanted 800.00 for it.

Tomorrow after work I am going to look at another top. I saw some pics of the latches and they look just like oem latches. So that is a good sign. He wants 1k for the top. Over the phone we agreed on 800.00. So tomorrow i should finally get a top. Then on to saving money for a few other things I need before i send the miata in for paint.

Picked up hard top today. Its dark blue. So dark it almost looks black. Only gonna be like that for about 6 months then paint.

Looks good. So you're going to have the whole car painted next? Isn't the paint on it now only a few years old?
Lots of pannels getting replaced with widebody. I want my car darker red so yea getting whole thing re-painted. Got a quote for widebody install. Paint hardtop and paint the car. 2500.00. I need to purchase the tires and wide body as well.
